Penulis Milan Kundera pernah menyatakan argumen terkenal: "Dalam bisnis hanya diperlukan dua hal – pemasaran dan inovasi." Sebagian besar pengusaha yang saya kenal berpendapat bahwa apa yang dikemukakan Milan Kundera tidak sepenuhnya benar karena masih ada faktor penting lain seperti produksi, pengawasan mutu dan logistik.
The writer Milan Kundera once famously said: “Business has only two functions – marketing and innovation.” Most people I know in business would say that Mr. Kundera got it only half right at best; notwithstanding the importance of good manufacturing, quality control and logistics, among many others.
Yang sesungguhnya ingin disampaikan sang penulis adalah pemasaran dan inovasi sangat penting dalam menunjang keberhasilan usaha, dan kedua fungsi tersebut harus diterapkan dalam setiap aspek kegiatan operasional.
Of course the point Kundera is making is that good marketing and innovation are vitally important to a business’s success; what he's saying is that marketing and innovation should be applied across every aspect of an operation.
Dan ketika kita mencoba hal baru hasilnya belum tentu memuaskan. Pembelajaran inilah yang saya yakin dapat kita tarik dari ajang New CEO Awards – mengingat kriteria kali ini lebih ketat dibanding sebelumnya, banyak ide yang masuk terpaksa ditolak. Dalam Berita Kita bulan ini kita akan lihat bahwa gagasan yang bagus perlu disempurnakan.
And when you attempt something new, you don’t always succeed. This is an important lesson I believe we’re currently learning with the New CEO Awards, which, because of stricter criteria, have seen a higher rejection rate of submissions. We examine the importance of getting a good idea right in this month’s Berita Kita.

Disampaikan pula berbagai prestasi yang HIL capai, termasuk pengembangan Solusi Rumah serta bisnis beton jadi. Early August saw Business Briefings take place across Holcim Indonesia’s operations. The centennial-themed presentations were hosted by Holcim directors and examined how the company had progressed on its strategic journey, followed by a buka puasa event. Staff heard about recent HIL successes including the expanding Solusi Rumah and ready-mixed businesses. Pada tanggal 25 Juli Holcim Beton resmi hadir di Kawasan Industri Pulogadung, Jakarta, setelah penandatanganan perjanjian sewa lahan seluas 6.000 meter persegi di pusat industri seluas 680 hektar tersebut. Menyusul penandatanganan kontrak antara CEO Holcim Beton, Derek Williamson; Direktur Utama KIP, Agus Dwitarto; dan Sekretaris Perusahaan Holcim Indonesia, Jannus Hutapea, dari kiri ke kanan, akan dibangun batching plant dengan kapasitas tinggi dan ramah lingkungan. Pada pertengahan Desember nanti, Holcim bersama Concrete Floor Asia akan menyelenggarakan "CFA Mega Demo" di lokasi untuk menampilkan fasilitas ini kepada calon pelanggan KIP.
Di Singapura pada tanggal 29 Juni berkumpul pimpinan, pengambil keputusan dan tokoh paling berpengaruh di industri konstruksi untuk membahas masa depan proyek-proyek besar pembangunan prasarana di Asia. Forum Large Infrastructure Projects atau LIP Forum berlangsung di Komplek Marina Bay Sands dan dipimpin oleh Paul Hugentobler, Anggota Komite Eksekutif Holcim Group untuk kawasan Asia Selatan dan ASEAN (tidak termasuk Filipina), foto di atas, dihadiri delegasi yang mencapai lebih dari 252 orang dari hampir 20 negara.

In Singapore, some of the biggest dealmakers and influential thinkers in construction got together on June 29 to discuss the future of large infrastructure projects in Asia. In fitting style, the Large Infrastructure Projects Forum, or LIP, was hosted at the spectacular Marina Bay Sands Complex by Paul Hugentobler, Holcim Group Executive Committee Member South Asia & ASEAN (excluding the Philippines, pictured). LIP featured over 252 delegates from close to 20 countries.

Pada tanggal 15 Juli, Asosiasi Sepakbola Cilacap menyelenggarakan final turnamen U-15 yang melibatkan 25 tim lokal dan 425 anak-anak yang gemar sepakbola. Muncul sebagai pemenang, Sekolah Sepakbola Holcim (SSB) tim; 18 anak muda yang telah dipilih dan dilatih selama empat bulan oleh pelatih profesional. SSB mengalahkan klub Dewa Ruci 4-2 di final, sekitar 4000 penonton menyaksikan keterampilan mereka selama satu bulan kompetisi.
Pada bulan Juni, sebanyak 13 orang warga desa Maloko mengikuti kursus sablon yang diadakan tim Community Relations Holcim Maloko. Setelah pelatihan, para peserta diharapkan dapat membuka distro atau usaha pakaian jadi sebagai salah satu upaya menekan angka pengangguran sekaligus memasok pakaian untuk karyawan Holcim Maloko.
On July 15, the Cilacap Football Association held the finals of an under-15 tournament involving 25 teams from the area and 425 soccer-mad kids. Emerging victorious was Holcim’s very own Soccer School (SSB) team; 18 youngsters who had been selected and trained for four months by a professional coach. SSB beat club Dewa Ruci 4-2 in the final, to the delight of around 4000 spectators, who saw some excellent skills on display during the month-long competition.
In June, 13 villagers in Maloko took part in screen printing training organised by Maloko’s Community Relations team. The plan is to encourage the opening of “Distro” or designer t-shirt businesses, reducing youth unemployment in the area and to supply printed clothing to Holcim Maloko operations.
Learning to Innovate Program Pelatihan Inovasi Pemasaran awal Agustus ini meluluskan siswanya. Pelatihan berlangsung selama setahun dan diikuti lulusan perguruan tinggi, dengan materi awal tentang bisnis umum Holcim yang dilanjutkan dengan materi khusus pemasaran. Kini mereka siap ditempatkan di Direktorat Pemasaran. Kami ucapkan selamat kepada mereka yang lulus! This handsome bunch are the students who in early August graduated from the Marketing Innovation Training Programme. The year-long course saw the university graduates learn about Holcim’s general business before specializing in marketing. They’re now ready to join the Marketing Directorate. Congratulations to them!

Merek Holcim terus berkembang, dan karenanya perusahaan mengubah diri dari produsen bahan bangunan biasa menjadi penyedia solusi di bidang konstruksi yang menghasilkan nilai tambah atau value-added solutions (VAS) bagi pelanggan. VAS bukan sekedar istilah dalam pemasaran – produk dan layanan yang kita tawarkan memang solusi bernilai tambah karena dibutuhkan dan diharapkan pelanggan, dan sesuai untuk pasar di Indonesia yang luas dan semakin maju. Produk dan layanan tersebut dinamai demikian karena menghasilkan keuntungan lebih untuk konsumen.

"LiteCrete", beton cetak ringan yang diolah langsung di lokasi untuk pembuatan lantai dalam gedung. Produk ini terbukti mampu mengurangi lebar kolom sehingga memperluas ruang bangunan. Jenis 3, Applications (Aplikasi). Aplikasi yang sudah banyak dikenal adalah SpeedCrete, beton yang kering hanya dalam tujuh jam namun kuat menahan beban kendaraan pada kondisi lalu-lintas padat. Produk ini, dipadu dengan layanan logistik yang tepat, banyak dimanfaatkan untuk perbaikan jalan tol dan sarana umum karena pekerjaan selesai dalam waktu singkat. Contoh lain produk yang termasuk jenis VAS APP adalah Indoor Climate Solutions (ICS), instalasi jaringan pipa air dalam
gedung untuk menghemat biaya pendingin ruangan hingga 60%. Semua solusi di atas berteknologi tinggi! Agar produk semakin baik, tim penjualan tentunya perlu paham apa kebutuhan pelanggan dan mampu berpikir di luar kelaziman. Departemen penjualan dan departemen teknis harus mampu

Many employees still think that Holcim is primarily a manufacturer of cement and concrete products. That’s not even half the story, explains Juhans Suryantan, Vice President for Sales. In line with our developing brand, Holcim is evolving from being a basic manufacturer of building materials to provide our customers with value added solutions, or VAS. This is more than just a fancy marketing term – the idea is that our products and services are in line with the needs and aspirations of our customers and suit Indonesia’s large and developing market. Value Added Solutions are known as such because they provide extra value for our customers. There are three types of VAS: Type 1: Immediate Solutions. The sales team and technical teams adjust our products to solve customers’ specific problems. One example is SuperWell Thermo concrete, a product we supply to international energy services
company Halliburton. With a mix of specific grade of silica flour, SWT must be resistant to pressure and heat and is used in casing geothermal wells, which means we’re helping Indonesia’s renewable geothermal power programme. Type 2: Specifications. With VAS Specifications we change mixes of existing products. One example is “LiteCrete” a lightweight cast in-situ concrete for floors in buildings. LiteCrete can reduce the size of supporting columns, which means more space for tenants. Type 3 VAS are Applications. A popular application is SpeedCrete; concrete that sets in a matter of hours. Combined with smart logistics, it means toll roads and public areas can be closed for as little
as seven hours for necessary repairs. Another VAS APP is Indoor Climate Solutions, or ICS, a special network of water pipes in buildings which can save up to 60 percent of a building’s daily cooling costs.

This is all cutting edge stuff! But to develop better products it’s vital for our sales team to understand our customers’ needs and think outside the box. Before a product can be produced it takes excellent cooperation between our sales and technical departments to ensure products meet laboratory specifications. At the end of the day, we want to make our customers’ lives easier, for happier, healthier living!

Greening North Nusakambangan Pulau Nusakambangan yang luasnya 12.200 hektar dikelilingi pantai. Dan pesisir utaranya memerlukan peremajaan hutan bakau. Karyawan Holcim memakai batang untuk menjaga tegaknya bakau selama bulanbulan pertama penanaman. Holcim employees use stakes to ensure the mangrove plants are supported through the important early first months after planting.

Penanaman pohon bakau baru dapat mempercantik pantai dan mencegah erosi serta menjadikan area ini tempat burung dan ikan berkembang biak. Jika hutan bakau terlindungi dengan baik, warga setempat akan turut merasakan manfaatnya, di antaranya peningkatan volume tangkapan ikan para nelayan. Sayangnya menanam bakau ternyata tidak mudah dan tidak cukup hanya ditancapkan ke lumpur. Jika bibit ditanam di tempat yang salah, risiko gagal tanam sangat besar bisa mencapai 100%. Faktor penyebabnya antara lain penyakit, tanaman liar, air pasang, polusi manusia dan lalu-lintas kapal.

Itulah sebabnya pemilihan lokasi sangat penting. Pada 17 Juli silam, sekitar 70 orang karyawan Holcim Cilacap dan relawan melakukan penanaman tahap pertama 12.000 bibit bakau setinggi satu meter di kawasan Sodong dan Limusbuntu, Pulau Nusakambangan. Penanaman dilaksanakan dalam rangka peringatan Seabad Holcim Group tahun ini. Kegiatan dipandu staf akademik Universitas Jenderal Sudirman, Jawa Tengah. Demi keberhasilan program, dilakukan pengecekan ke lokasi penanaman setiap minggu selama tiga bulan pertama mengingat pada
fase ini tingkat kegagalan sangat tinggi. Relawan juga mendirikan pagar bambu darurat agar pohon yang baru ditanam bebas dari sampah maupun gelombang laut.
Salah seorang staf Holcim yang terlihat asyik melakukan penanaman adalah Widi Handoro, Territory Sales Officer dari Jawa Tengah. "Pengalaman ini berharga sekali bagi saya," kata Widi. "Semua yang terlibat belajar pentingnya memperbaiki lingkungan hidup dan menjaga warisan alam." Dr. Mohammad Husein, Ketua Program Pascasarjana Ilmu Lingkungan Universitas Jenderal Sudirman, sependapat. "Pembalakan hutan masih marak di wilayah selatan Nusakambangan, jadi penanaman bakau perlu dilakukan demi menjaga keseimbangan lingkungan," katanya.

With a total area of 12,200 hectares, Nusakambangan Island has a lot of coastline. And the north side of the island is a great place to plant mangroves. Renewing mangrove forests there beautifies beaches and prevents erosion, it also provides an important ecosystem where birds and fish can breed. If properly protected, mangrove areas can have positive benefits for local stakeholders, including increased catches for local fishermen. But mangrove planting isn’t as easy as simply sinking a tree into the mud and walking away. There’s often a high loss rate after seedlings are planted, as much as 100 percent in the wrong areas. Diseases, weeds, problem soil types, tides, human pollution and boat traffic are all believed to be reasons for why mangrove populations don’t take hold. Finding appropriate sites, therefore, becomes vital. On July 17, around 70 Cilacap staff and local volunteers began planting
when the loss rate of mangroves is highest. The volunteers have erected temporary bamboo fences to ensure planted areas are kept free of waste and to protect them from sea waves.

Dr. Mohammad Husein, who heads the postgraduate programme in Environmental Sciences at Jendral Sudirman University, agreed. “With deforestation still a problem on southern parts of this island, planting mangroves is an important way to restore the ecological balance,” he said.

Kini tengah berlangsung kompetisi tahap kedua. Foto terpilih akan dimuat dalam buku "The Journey of Tuban Project".

Held from April 3-27, and judged by a team of Holcim Tuban managers, the competition had 43 entries, says Tuban Project Communication Indriani Siswati. The second round of the competition is now underway and selected photographs will be featured in a book, “The Journey of Tuban Project”.

Bulan Juni lalu ditandatangani kontrak baru antara Geocycle dengan PT Badak untuk proyek pemusnahan limbah di unit operasi Gas Alam Cair (LNG) di Bontang, Kalimantan Timur. Berita Kita mewawancarai Pak Djuni Wahyudi, Logistics and Operational Team Leader sekaligus Badak Project Site Manager, seputar layanan dengan kualitas jauh di atas perkiraan klien.

"Klien menyampaikan apa yang mereka sukai dari kami, khususnya peringkat PROPER Emas dan Hijau yang diperoleh Cilacap dan Narogong, serta profesionalisme tim Geocycle," kata Djuni. "Setiap peraturan baru juga kami sampaikan kepada klien," jelas Shinta Maryke, Communication and Relations Superintendent Geocycle. Hal lain yang membuat klien terkesan adalah kapasitas penyimpanan milik Geocycle, dan kemampuannya mengolah limbah secara tuntas dalam tiga bulan belum ada perusahaan lain yang mampu menyaingi prestasi ini.

Berbagai jenis limbah dari sana dimuat dengan hati-hati ke atas truk menggunakan forklift untuk selanjutnya diangkut ke Samarinda, dan dari sana dikapalkan ke Pulau Jawa. Perjalanan darat sendiri memakan waktu berjam-jam. "Selama kami di sana, sejumlah anggota DPR melakukan kunjungan, dan mereka berjanji akan mengganti peraturan yang berlaku agar Pelabuhan Bontang diizinkan juga menjadi pelabuhan untuk pengangkutan limbah," kata Djuni. "Jika revisinya disetujui, proses kerja kami akan lebih singkat lagi."
BP and Pertamina were happy with the progress. “Our customers are very clear about what they like about us, most importantly they’re impressed by the PROPER Gold and Green Ratings at Cilacap and Narogong plants and our level of professionalism,” Djuni said. “We’re also sharing information with them on updated and new regulations,” said Shinta Maryke, Geocycle Communication and Relations Superintendent.
In June, Geocycle’s signed a new waste disposal contract for PT Badak’s Liquid Natural Gas operation in Bontang, East Kalimantan. Berita Kita talks to Pak Djuni Wahyudi, Logistics and Operational Team Leader and Badak Project Site Manager, about why they’re delivering ahead of customer expectations. The Badak field in Bontang, East Kalimantan, is the largest producing LNG field in Indonesia with Pertamina and BP as the field’s main partners. “We’ve been safely gathering transporting and processing waste in this field since February 2011 on a two-year contract, cleaning up a whole lot of things; used rags and sludge, along with various material mixes of paints, paint cans, bottom
ash from incinerators, and stuff from operations like general waste and printer cartridges,” Djuni says. In June, the team successfully moved the last shipment of waste to the Megadome storage area at Narogong, meaning they fulfilled their contract to dispose of a total of 240 tonnes of waste eight months early. Not surprisingly,
Geocycle’s storage capacity was also praised by the client, with the company’s three-month waste processing turnaround unable to be matched by competitors.

The team had limited access to the Bontang Plant which has high levels of security and strict safety standards . The different types of waste needed to be carefully loaded onto trucks using forklifts and then were transported many hours overland to Samarinda from where it was shipped to Java. “During our work, we had a site visit from members of the national parliament and they’ve promised to change the regulations so that Bontang Port will be licensed to remove waste,” Djuni said. “If it’s approved, our turnaround times will be even faster.”

Turning a Promising Idea into a Winner!
Banyaknya ide yang didaftarkan dalam New CEO Awards gelombang pertama ternyata di luar dugaan, tulis Alex Buechi, Business Development and Innovation Manager. The first cycle of the New CEO Awards had an impressive number of entries, writes Alex Buechi, Business Development and Innovation Manager. Hal yang sama diakui CEO Holcim, Eamon Ginley. Katanya, "Ide yang masuk, meski waktu yang tersedia singkat, mencapai 105 dari semua unit usaha Holcim Indonesia, dan untuk itu saya ucapkan terima kasih kepada staf atas semangat mereka mengikuti ajang ini." Saya pun ingin berterima kasih atas partisipasi staf, namun proses penjurian masih panjang. Ide yang masuk semuanya berpeluang menang, tetapi dengan kriteria yang ditetapkan kali ini lebih ketat, hasilnya kurang dari 5% yang bisa lolos ke tahap berikutnya.

But, here’s the good news. Being “disqualified” in the first round doesn't mean the end of your good idea; it’s all part of the learning process and you can resubmit your ideas again. To ensure that these good ideas are not wasted, we’re going to be training your line managers to mentor you with your submissions. A Submission Checklist • Have you checked whether your idea is really new? • Did you make sure your entry is using the standard template? • Did you make sure you have addressed all the criteria requested in the standard template including financial evaluation and time schedule for implementation of the idea? • Did you clearly state who the customer (internal or external) is for whom you would like to add value? • Did you interview your customer to make sure the idea adds value to him/her?
A Case Study: Signing Off on a Digital Signature
Kris Ariadi, Cilacap Maintenance Manager, and Siswanto, Maintenance Planning Superintendent, are two members of a team that submitted a very good and very simple idea to the New CEO Awards. Their entry, titled “Simplifying the Bid Evaluation Process with a Digital Signature” would take all the physical paperwork out of procurement procedures, with all documents relating to procurements becoming digitalized.

New CEO Awards memungkinkan prosedur evaluasi pengadaan barang/jasa berlangsung tanpa kertas berkat digitalisasi dokumen. "Manajer diminta memberikan persetujuan dengan tanda tangan digital, bukan tanda tangan fisik, sehingga seluruh proses berlangsung lebih cepat karena pengiriman dokumen melalui email; selama ini surat-surat diantar dari satu departemen ke departemen lain," jelas Kris. "Jika melalui email, manajer yang sedang berdinas ke luar kota pun tetap dapat memberi persetujuan dan tanda tangan. Kemungkinan dokumen hilang juga tidak ada lagi," lanjut Siswanto. Meski ide tersebut dianggap baik, konsepnya ternyata tidak langsung disetujui oleh juri New CEO Awards. Ide dikembalikan kepada tim penggagas untuk diperbaiki agar dapat diikutsertakan lagi dalam gelombang berikut. Seperti peserta lainnya, Kris dan Siswanto tidak mewawancarai pelanggan internal mengenai gagasan yang diajukan. "Kami juga tidak menggunakan formulir yang benar. Tapi dengan menggunakan formulir yang benar, kami yakin ide tersebut dapat diimplementasikan pada gelombang berikut," kata Kris.
“Having managers sign off with a digital, rather than a physical signature, vastly speeds up the whole process, as files can be sent by email, rather than be carted around departments by an office assistant,” says Kris. “Emailed documents also mean that if a certain manager is out of town, he or she can still sign off on it, and the chances of losing documents becomes diminished,” added Siswanto. But while they knew they had a good idea, getting the New CEO Awards jury to sign off on their concept proved more difficult. Instead, it got sent back for future refining in the next awards cycle. Like a lot of other applicants, Kris and Siswanto had forgotten to interview an internal customer about their idea. “We also forgot to use the right template. But by submitting our entry in the correct form, we’re confident it will be implemented in the next cycle,” Kris says.

Dewi Susana, nicknamed Susan, is Special Projects Coordinator for Holcim Academy. She spoke to Berita Kita about the renewed Internship Programme. “We used to run an intern programme but we stopped it a few years back. Like many such programmes, ours didn’t have clear targets or stated benefits for customers; either the students or the departments they were in. There was a lack of structured activities and some departments even complained that interns were a burden.
The Interns are Back! Dewi Susana, biasa dipanggil Susan, bekerja sebagai Special Projects Coordinator di Akademi Holcim. Kepada Berita Kita ia menjelaskan Program Magang format baru Holcim. "Dulu kami pernah menyelenggarakan program magang tapi sempat berhenti beberapa tahun yang lalu. Program kami tidak ubahnya program lain: sasaran atau manfaat bagi klien – baik mahasiswa sendiri atau departemen tempat mereka magang – kurang jelas. Kegiatan tidak tertata baik, bahkan ada departemen yang merasa peserta program magang malah menjadi beban. Namun mengingat banyaknya program di Holcim, kami sadar peran mahasiswa sangat penting sebagai salah satu pemangku kepentingan. Reputasi Holcim Indonesia di mata masyarakat positif, terlihat dari setiap tahunnya ada sekitar 40 mahasiswa yang ingin mencari pengalaman kerja di Holcim. Perusahaan meminta saya untuk menata ulang program agar struktur dan sasarannya jelas. Sekarang ada

Interviewing the Interns Lisa Darsono, 23, belum lama ini merampungkan studinya di Fakultas Psikologi Curtin University, Australia, sedangkan Niear Rindy, 22, kini duduk di semester akhir Fakultas Ekonomi Institut Pertanian Bogor. Keduanya tengah mengikuti program magang di Holcim Indonesia; Lisa di Human Resources Department, dan Niear di Marketing Department.
Lisa Darsono, 23, recently graduated from Curtin University, Australia, majoring in Psychology, while Niear Rindy, 22, is finishing her last semester at the Faculty of Economics in the Bogor Institute of Agriculture. Both are currently in the Holcim internship programme; Lisa in the Human Resources Department, Niear in Marketing.
Berita Kita: Apa alasan kalian memilih Holcim?
Berita Kita: So why did you both choose Holcim?
Niear: Karena Holcim perusahaan multinasional, saya bisa belajar banyak dari program magang ini.
Niear: Holcim is a multinational company so I hope to gain much knowledge from this internship program.
Lisa: Saya juga; yang penting kami ingin mencari pengalaman kerja lebih dulu.
Lisa: It’s the same with me: experience is important, right now.
BK: Target pribadi Anda mengikuti program magang Holcim? Niear: Di Holcim saya belajar teknik pemasaran terbaru. Perusahaan banyak berinovasi di bidang pemasaran, dan saya berkesempatan menimba ilmu, belajar cara mereka mengenalkan inovasi tersebut di masyarakat; bukan dengan iklan saja tapi juga dengan pendekatan pribadi. Lisa: Selama dua bulan magang di Holcim ini saya ingin mengaplikasikan apa yang saya pelajari di universitas, khususnya yang menyangkut pengangkatan staf dan pengembangan personel. BK: Apa tugas kalian sehari-hari sekarang?
BK: What are your personal targets in the Holcim internship? Niear: At Holcim I’m learning about the latest techniques in marketing. I get to see a lot of innovations they’re making in the field and learn how to introduce these to the wider community, not just by advertising alone, but by a personal approach. Lisa: I hope during the two-month internship at the Holcim, I can apply what I learned in college, especially complex ideas about staff recruitment and people development. BK: What are your daily tasks right now?
Lisa: Saya dilibatkan dalam proses seleksi ribuan calon karyawan Holcim, dan membantu menyesuaikan kriteria seleksinya. Saya juga ikut dalam rapat internal untuk mengetahui seluk-beluk kegiatan di HR Department.
Lisa: I’ve been participating in the selection process for thousands of Holcim applicants and helping to adjust the criteria. I’m also attending regular internal meetings to learn the many ins and outs of HR Department activities.
Niear: Saya terlibat dalam proyek MIMO atau Mini Mobile Lab. Tugas saya mengolah data dari lapangan untuk selanjutnya dibuat laporan statistik. Saya juga berhubungan dengan petugas di lapangan untuk memastikan apakah mereka mampu menjelaskan dengan baik informasi seputar produk Holcim dan menyusun laporan pengeluaran.
Niear: In the Mini Mobile Lab Project, or MIMO, I’m processing data collected on the ground and compiling it into a statistical report. I’m also liaising with officers in the field to ensure they know how to introduce products and taking care of all of the expenditure reports.
BK: Ada lagi yang ingin kalian sampaikan?
BK: Any final words?
Niear: Kerja di sini menyenangkan. Ada banyak tantangan yang perlu diatasi, terutama kendala yang muncul di lapangan. Saya diajarkan untuk selalu mencari solusi; bagaimana mengembangkan konsep agar target tercapai.
Niear: I’ve enjoyed getting involved here. I’ve had a lot of challenges to overcome; especially obstacles that occur in the field. I was taught to always look for a solution; how to develop a concept, so that targets can be achieved.
Lisa: Mata saya terbuka selama magang di Holcim. Setelah wisuda, awalnya saya ingin menjadi konsultan profesional. Tapi pengalaman selama di sini membuat saya berubah pikiran 180 derajat – saya sekarang ingin bekerja di bidang SDM.
Lisa: My internship at Holcim was an eye-opener. After I graduated, I wanted to be a professional counselor. However, this experience changed my thinking 180 degrees, and now I want to work in HR.
