• QUEST FOR GROWTH investeert € 500.000 in MAPPER Lithography • Nederlande onderneming die zich toelegt op de onwikkeling van een “maskless” lithografie machine • Converteerbare obligatielening • Een spin-off van de Universiteit van Delft, opgericht in 2000 • Het bedrijf concentreert zich op de ontwikkeling en de productie van een nieuwe en zeer concurrerende maskerloze lithografiemachine voor geavanceerde chip productie. De oplossing van MAPPER combineert duizenden parallelle elektronen bundels met breedband optische datatransport. . • Andere investeerders zijn o.a. • Eerste tranche: € 1,53 miljoen • Een nieuw opgerichte farmaceutische onderneming die geneesmiddelen gaat ontwikkelen op basis van producten en licenties van Janssen Pharmaceutica NV en Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceutical, Inc • Lead investors waren Life Sciences Partners (LSP, Nederland) en Sofinnova Partners (Frankrijk) met bijkomende inbreng van Sofinnova Ventures (V.S.), KBC en GIMV • Biofarmaceutische onderneming die zich richt op de ontwikkeling van gastrointestinale producten (GI). De portefeuille omvat een product in fase III klinische gegevens, een product in fase II, twee producten in fase I en 4 componenten in preklinische ontwikkeling. Het meest gevorderde product doorstond drie cruciale positieve testen voor chronische constipatie en is bedoeld voor een grote groep patiënten die momenteel niet bevredigend behandeld kunnen worden met beschikbare laxatiefmiddelen

• Nederlands – Canadees bedrijf dat zich toelegt op kankeronderzoek. • Quest for Growth investeert samen met LSP als lead investeerder en investeerder van het eerste uur. Alta Partners en MedSciences Capital investeren eveneens in Kiadis Pharma. Bestaande investeerders Esprit Capital Partners LLP en N.V. NOM – Investerings- en Ontwikkelings Agentschap voor de Noordelijke Nederlanden nemen eveneens deel aan deze financieringsronde. • De pijplijn van het bedrijf omvat vier eigen producten in verschillende stadia van klinische ontwikkeling. De vergoeding voor de licentietoekenning houdt volgende vergoedingen in: • $ 60 miljoen bij afsluiting • Klinische en prudentiële mijlpalen voor in totaal $ 77 miljoen • Bijkomende mijlpaal betaling door Alpharma van $ 45 of $ 65 miljoen, afhankelijk van de resultaten van een van de klinische testen voor het product indien goedkeuring voor de V.S. • Verbintenissen door Alpharma voor commercialisatie-uitgaven • Royalty's op basis van de verkoop van het product, en • Toekenning van warrants voor de aankoop van $100 miljoen Alpharma gewone aandelen Diractin is momenteel al goedgekeurd in Zwitserland en erkenning voor de Europa is hangend. Carlyle European Technology Partners, L.P. keerde de opbrengst van de verkoop van NP Aerospace Ltd. uit: € 436,288 werd uitgekeerd, waarvan € 274,780 meerwaarde VENTECH 2 Op 6 juni kondigde Ventech de aquisitie door Amgen (Nasdaq: AMGN) van Alantos - een portefeuillebedrijf van Ventech - aan, voor een bedrag van $ 300 miljoen in cash. Een vijfvoud van de intitële investering door Ventech.
