The Human Centered ICT Toolkit This might be useful for you while working on your graduation project.
project.cmd.hro.nl/cmi/hci/toolkit/index.php
Why the HCI Toolbox? While working on a (graduation) project, you’ll encounter many problems/questions.
Questions like: •Who is ‘the user’? •What does the user want/need? •How do I gain insights into the target group? •How do I gain insight into the context of use? •Will the user understand what to do? •How do I test my first prototype? •Etc…
A reference card describes • Definition of the tool/method (What is it?) • Project phase (When to use it?) • Purpose (Why to use it?) • Points of interest / Pitfals • References Best practices / examples in the near future.
A few things to bear in mind The toolbox is only a collection of references So no complete how-to’s, but references to books and websites It’s a work in progress, the first version is online. Enabling co-creation (so users can add content) Adding some essential tools
