“We do have a dream. When we work on our dream, there must be challenges, and sometimes failures ahead upon us. It is not a matter on how many failures we had, but are we convinced with our own dream? Parador!! Yes, we can!!!” That was a closing remark by Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Ricky Theodores at KPI (Key Performance Indicator) Kick Off Meeting 2015 - Parador Hotels and Resorts held at Atria Hotel and Conference Gading Serpong on Saturday, 6 December 2014.
In this KPI Kick Off Meeting 2015, each of corporate team members discussed on what actions should be planned to reach our dream in 2015. After this meeting, the next few days it is followed by KPI Meeting held by each unit business of Parador Hotels and Resorts.

Parador Career Expo 2014 STPB, December 3rd, 2014 | Parador Hotels & Resorts (PHR) collaborates with Bandung Institute of Tourism held an event called “Parador Career Expo 2014”. The event that held on Wednesday, December 3rd, 2014, consisted of Interactive Seminar, Career Expo, and Signing of Corporate Agreement, officially opened by the Director of STP Bandung, Mr. Anang Sutono. The implementation of this event was based on the needs of developing human resources to ensure their competency at their expertise so that they could explore the great potential future of Tourism Business and Hotel Industry in Indonesia. The objectives of this Parador Career Expo 2014 were to empower the under graduate students of STPB with the knowledge of entering the hotel industry, to facilitate PHR in attracting and recruiting potential students and alumni to fulfill the needs of manpower and talent bank, to provide career opportunity for all students and alumni of STPB, and also to develop relationship and mutual strategic human resources cooperation between STPB and PHR.
Seminar with theme “Parador Hotels & Resorts as the Modern Asian Hospitality for Your Best Future Career” was held in the Auditorium, the 6th floor of Ciremai Building STP Bandung on 8.30 a.m. Mr. Ricky Theodores (Chief Operating Officer / COO PHR) attended as keynote speaker, presented the PHR profile which rapidly become the newly one of the most recognized hospitality management brand who provide great opportunity for students and alumni of STPB to explore challenging career to be successful hotelier in the future. The event then was continued with Signing of Corporate Agreement by Mr. Anang Sutono (Director of STPB) and Mr. Ricky Theodores (COO PHR) as the mutual strategic cooperation between PHR and STPB, that will cover recruitment, On Job Training, learning & talent development which can give positive impacts to both parties and all students. Parador Career Expo 2014 that participated by all hotel units of PHR (Atria Hotels, Ara Hotels, and Fame Hotel), was an event held for all students and alumni of STP Bandung to gain lots of information about the current trend of tourism and hotel industry and also to seek various prospective career opportunity in PHR. On the event that was held in Convention Hall of STPB, PHR participated in terms of recruitment, selection, and interview session for all students and alumni of STPB as well as the public. Blood Donation On Wednesday, 10 December 2014, Atria Hotel & Conference Magelang in cooperation with PMI Magelang held blood donation. The participants are staffs of Atria Hotel & Conference Magelang. From this event, we managed to collect 23 blood bags.
Employees Fun Walk To rise the productivity of work, colleagues' relation, keep healthy, and team work, fun walk was held on Thursday, 11 December 2014. Team walked around Magelang area, before doing fun walk, team held ceremony: flew balloons, it symbolizes that Atria Hotel & Conference Magelang confident to be the best conference team in Magelang and believe the revenue will be high as high as the balloon flew high.
Tumpengan To express the gratitude to God and appreciate togetherness and harmony, on Friday, 12 December 2014 at canteen, team prayed together, and Pak Chandra Irawan as AHC Magelang GM cut the top of tumpeng and delivered to important person, he was Pak Nuno (Senior Sales Manager). We believe hotel revenue increases and better than year of 2014.
Charity to Banjarnegara On Friday, 26 December 2014, to increase humanity feeling and help the disaster victims, Atria Hotel and Conference Magelang collaborated with ACT (one of social independent organization which specially help victims of disaster) helped children to heal the trauma by holding fun games and distributing bags and toys.

Garis Finish
Mungkin kisah ini sudah tidak asing lagi bagi Anda. Kisah tentang seorang atlet yang terus berjuang dan menahan rasa sakit, serta dorongan seorang ayah untuk anaknya hingga mencapai satu tujuan, garis finish. Derek Redmond adalah seorang mantan atlet Inggris yang berjaya di nomor lari 4x400 meter. Redmond pertama kali memecahkan rekor dunia ketika ikut di Olimpiade 1985 dengan waktu 44,85 detik. Rekornya terus terjaga hingga tragedi di tahun 1992 yang membuatnya menjadi inspirasi di dunia Olimpiade. Di tahun 1992, Redmond telah melakukan persiapan fisik dan mental yang mapan seperti tahun-tahun sebelumnya. Kali ini, Redmond mengincar kembali medali emas yang telah diperolehnya pada kejuaraan sebelumnya. Pada Olimpiade di Barcelona itu, Redmond mampu mempertahankan kondisi terbaiknya dan menjadi peringkat pertama pada perempat final. Pada semifinal, Redmond memulai start dengan baik, namun pada jarak 250 meter dari garis finish, ia cedera. Otot pahanya mengencang hingga ia tergeletak di tanah sambil berteriak kesakitan. Namun, ketika tim medis menghampirinya, Redmond bersikeras ingin melanjutkan perlombaan larinya. Meski telah diperingati beberapa kali dan diteriaki pelatihnya untuk berhenti, Redmond seakan menutup telinganya dan terus berjalan meski tertatih hingga garis finish. Usaha Redmond ini bukan hanya dilakukan sendiri. Ayah Redmond yang ada di bangku penonton sontak langsung menghampiri anaknya. Menerobos beberapa penjaga pagar, ayah Redmond berteriak, “Itu anakku!” kepada seorang penjaga yang menahannya. Ayah Redmond berhasil lolos dari kepungan penjaga dan menghampiri anaknya. Redmond berpikir bahwa ayahnya akan menghentikannya. Tapi ternyata, ayah Redmond malah merangkul dan memapah Redmond hingga garis finish. Ayah Redmond berkata, “Itu tujuanmu, Nak! Apapun yang terjadi, kamu harus mencapai tujuan itu. Tenang.. kamu tidak sendirian. Ayah akan membantumu mencapai tujuan itu!” Pemandangan yang mengharukan ini sontak membuat memberikan standing applause bagi Redmond dan ayahnya.

… Kisah Derek Redmond di atas mengingatkan kita untuk tidak pernah melupakan apa tujuan kita. Ketika kita menetapkan satu tujuan untuk dicapai, kita tahu betul konsekuensi dan kesulitan yang akan dihadapi ke depan. Proses menuju satu tujuan itu pasti akan banyak batu penghalang yang siap menjatuhkan kita ketika kita goyah. Satu cara untuk tetap berdiri tegap dan mencapai satu tujuan tersebut adalah dengan kembali mengingat tujuan tersebut. Pikirkan apa yang paling Anda inginkan dan mengapa Anda ingin mencapai tujuan tersebut. Niscaya, keberanian dan keteguhan hati Anda akan membantu Anda dan mendorong Anda mencapai tujuan tersebut.
