ABSTRACT The title of this paper work is "STRATEGY TO DEVELOP Sibiru-biru TO BE A BEST OBJECT FOR TOURISM". Sibiru-biru has a lot of potential in the tourism sector. The problems in this research are to find out the strategies to make Sibirubiru becomes a famous place to be visited by the tourists, and to find out the strategies to make Sibiru-biru interisting for tourists, where Sibiru-biru’s river as its main object. The purpose of this study is to make tourism Sibiru-biru developed and efforts should be made to develop it, so as to attract both foreign and local travelers to come to the area Sibiru-biru. This research is descriptive qualitative, by outlining and explaining the results of research in the form of words spoken or written. This study will describe the situation on the ground and propose a development strategy as recommendation for local governments. The results showed that the development of the tourism sector Sibiru-biru region is very slow because there are constraints such as infrastructure and inadequate infrastructure, promotion is still lacking, and the lack of human resources qualified in the field of tourism, so it takes effort to do as develop strategies Sibiru-biru region in this way improve infrastructure, promote and increase the knowledge of tourism to the local community.


ABSTRAK Judul kertas karya ini adalah “STRATEGY TO DEVELOP SIBIRU-BIRU TO BE A BEST OBJECT FOR TOURISM”. Sibiru-biru memiliki potensi pada sektor pariwisata, dengan sungai Sibiru-biru sebagai obyek utamanya. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah menemukan strategi untuk membuat Sibiru-biru menjadi terkenal dan menjadi tempat wisata yang menarik, dan Strategi yang dapat diambil untuk mengembangkan obyek wisata Sibiru-biru yaitu sungai Sibiru-biru sebagai obyek utamanya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menemukan strategi agar Sibiru-biru terkenal dan mengembangkannya agar menjadi salah satu obyek wisata yang menarik bagi para wisatawan, sehingga mampu menarik para wisatawan baik asing maupun local untuk datang ke daerah Sibiru-biru. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kualitatif, yaitu dengan menguraikan dan menjelaskan hasilhasil penelitian dalam bentuk kata-kata lisan maupun tertulis . Penelitian ini akan menggambarkan tentang keadaan di lapangan dan mengajukan sebuah strategi pengembangan sebagai bahan rekomendasi bagi Pemerintah Daerah. `Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan sector pariwisata daerah sibirubiru sangatlah lambat karena terdapat kendala seperti sarana dan prasarana yang kurang memadai, promosi yang masih kurang, dan kurangnya sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas dalam bidang kepariwisataan, sehingga dibutuhkan upaya-upaya yang harus dilakukan sebagai strategi mengembangkan daerah sibiru-biru dengan cara seperti memperbaiki sarana dan prasarana, melakukan promosi dan menambah pengetahuan kepariwisataan kepada masyarakat sekitar.
