POI-Loader is wel compatibel met GPX bestanden, maar u dient wel te beschikken over één van de laatste versies van POI-Loader.

POI Loader for Windows allows you to load custom points of interest into your unit. The input files can be downloaded from the internet or you can create your own. With POI Loader for Windows, you can configure the unit to alert you when you are within a certain distance of a point or if you are driving over a certain speed near a point; perfect to warn you about upcoming schools zones and redlight and speed cameras. The unit will also allow you to search for and navigate to the loaded points of interest. This version of the installer fixes a Swedish language install problem with the previous version of the 2.3.2 installer. You do not need to download this version if you are not using the Swedish version of POI Loader for Windows. If you are having problems installing this version of the installer over the previous one, uninstall the previous version using Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel.
In plaats van gebruik te maken van “folder management” (wat niet mogelijk is) kunt u ervoor zorgen dat elke catégorie zijn icoontjes gebruikt. Daarvoor gaat u als volgt tewerk: • Maak alle punten van één catégorie aan in MapSource • Sla deze op als GPX bestand met naam (bv. POI001.gpx) • Maak een pictogram aan met het correcte formaat en dezelfde naam als de nodige catégorie (bv. Click on "Download" and choose to save the file to your computer. Choose a location where you can easily locate the file by saving it to a location such as the "My Documents" folder or to "C:\". Once the download is complete, run the downloaded install file by double clicking on it. Once the install is complete, you may delete the downloaded install file.

Het icoontje maakt hier niets uit, vermits deze achteraf maar pas wordt aangemaakt, zodat het toestel er rekening mee houd als POI.
Maak de beeldjes aan in het correcte formaat per catégorie. Het formaat is 12 breed X 14 hoog maximum. Geef deze de correcte benaming zoals hieronder in de afbeelding wordt weergegeven.
