"Knowledge becomes a strategy source for the 21st century, It can provide fixed rate of performance growth and competitive advantage".
Introduction Conditions for business enterprise change markedly with the development of a society. Managers running a company nowadays can not make do with the same tools as the classics at the turn of the 20th century did. An old, relatively clear and expectable, hierarchically organized company world is disappearing. The fact that social changes in the world will continue faster than until now, will be crucial for the management in the next few years. The management according to the rules that are liable to more or less irrational changes, becomes irrational itself. For the new business world, whether we call it information or knowledge society, companies need new knowledge. When organizations and companies want to be successful in the present world, they have to be willing to learn. That requires to realize the fact that they are not perfect and they want to work on themselves by enabling their employees to develop. Therefore a modern company must be aware of the need of constant improvement and looks for the possibilities how to succeed. Some of the managers have found out that they need quality strategy that will help them to achieve success in highly competitive markets in the present dynamic time of intensifying globalized tendencies. Inseparable part of such strategy must also be a provision of quality human sources, therefore it is necessary to invest in this area. For the same reasons companies should look for appropriate aproaches to the effective development of their own employee’s development and to be interested in procedures and methods suitable for evaluation of these processes. Many managers nowadays realize that traditional production sources are not the only ones that have to be taken care of in the transition to knowledge society and knowledge economy. Knowledge becomes a strategy source for the 21st century. It can provide fixed rate of performance growth and competitive advantage. Therefore, the knowledge is more and more in the centre of attention, knowledge management is used in the theory and practice of managing companies and organizations regardless of their role or business activity. The literature states and managerial practice proves that people are the most important in company management. If we want to talk about the efficiency of using human potential for a company and the influence of its development on prosperity nowadays, we can not avoid an urgent challenge of contemporary management, and that is knowledge management. In general, it is an overall attitude towards this new discipline, technological and organizational anticipation security, the development of personal knowledge, as well as the management of corporate knowledge management with the aim to get a competitive advantage. This monograph suggests the view of a managerial perspective of corporate knowledge management that includes necessary procedures in practical knowledge management. Brief summary of management theory and practice development and its connections in human resources management show the tendency to retain efficient knowledge employees who will participate actively in building knowledge companies and knowledge society in a globalized world in order to ensure efficient company operation.
