Architecture and Urbanism of Visegrad 4 2011 V4 Capitals Exhibition, V4 Urban Planning, V4 Architecture Exhibition and V4 Young Architecture Exhibition. Architecture of metropolises (Prague, Bratislava, Warsaw and Budapest) and cities (Brno, Hradec Králové, Kutná Hora, Moravská Ostrava and Přívoz, Pilsen, Zlín, Gdynia, Wroclaw, Katowice, Krakow, Pécs, Trenčín, Žilina, Košice a Prešov), urbanism and universities teaching architecture in the V4 countries. Festival website The festival website www.architectureweek.cz offered program, news, photos and detailed information about the events; logos and banners of the partners linking to their websites; logo of the festival for download in different formats and press information about the festival together with photos in high resolution. Invitations 10,000 invitations were printed for the festival together with invitations to the party and electronic invitations to the festival and lectures. The participating subjects also prepared their own invitations to their events sending them to their own databases. Publications and print A. Catalogue Architecture Week A fully colored (4/4) bilingual catalogue was published for the festival, format A4+ (210 x 310 mm), 214 pages, binding V2, with information about events organized within the festival, participating companies and interviews with outstanding personalities. The catalogue was distributed to the foreign representations and institutes, participants of the festival, journalists, Prague quarters, foreign guests, selected architects, developers and festival partners. The print run was 2,000 copies. B. Publication Architecture and Urbanism of Visegrad 4 A fully colored (4/4) bilingual publication was published for the project Architecture and Urbanism of Visegrad 4, format A4+ (210 x 310 mm), 144 pages, binding V2, with information about realized and planned projects in the selected cities of Visegrad 4, selected architectonic schools, associations and unions of architects and urban planners of Visegrad 4 countries. The print run was 2,000 copies and it was distributed to accredited journalists, foreign representations and institutes, architects, developers and partners. C. Posters 2,000 posters (format A1 and A0, colors 4/0) were printed for the festival. D. Electronic guide Also (as an innovation) we prepared a special electronic guide for iPad, iPhone and Android devices that was available for free on the festival website.
Press conference The press conference of the festival Architecture Week 2011 and exhibition Architecture and Urbanism of Visegrad 4 took place on October 10, 2011, at 11 am, at the Royal Summer Palace of Queen Anne with the participation of the representatives of the V4 cities, foreign guests, selected mayors of the participating cities, cultural institutes and other architecture and development professionals. The journalists were given complete press information both in print and on CD together with the two catalogues. Altogether there were 84 accredited journalists.
