Dear exhibitors and business friends,
I would like to thank all of you who took part in 2011 FOR PETS Trade Fair. You have significantly contributed to high visitor rate and positive atmosphere of the trade fair. First year of the trade fair of pet supplies is already gone yet it has brought a lot of inspiration for future years. Together we have prepared four-day meeting with people, products and inspiration. The goal of FOR PETS is to help the development of pet breeding and bring new information to pet owners. Second trade fair of pet supplies will take place from April 12 – 15, 2012. The conection with other on family oriented trade fairs appeared to be successful. Next year we can look forward to similar set-up of the trade fairs.

VERNISSAGE The set of trade fairs FOR FAMILY was festively opened by the director general of ABF, a.s. Ing. Jaroslav Čížek, MBA and the director of free time activities business team Ing. arch. Maria Wohlrabová. The ribbon was cut by the director general and a famous czech actress Tereza Kostková – patroness of the Veselý Senior endowment fund. Among other recognized guests there was secretary of the Veselý senior endowment fund Mrs. Lenka Kopecká, secretary of the Association of Travel Agencies Michal Veber, director of the Animal Protection Foundation Eva Marlen Hodek and Jiří Šťastný from Sdružení pro hru a hračku (Toy and Game Association). GRAND PRIX It has already become a tradition that the winners of GRAND PRIX are awarded at each ABF, a.s. trade fair. The set of FOR FAMILY Trade Fairs was not different. The awards were handed over at the Exhibition Centre Prague Letnany. This year professional jury handed over one GRAND PRIX award and two honourable mentions. 18 exhibitors with 42 products registered to take part in the competition. The chairwoman of the commission Martina Trávníčková handed over the awards at a festive gala evening for exhibitors.

SUCCESSFUL FIRST YEAR OF FOR PETS Nomenclature of pet supplies joined in 2011 the FOR FAMILY set of trade fairs. Because animals are members of almost all families nowadays, the conection of FOR PETS with family trade fairs prooved to be a good choice. This new project prepared a wide offer of goods and services connected to breeding. The trade fair brought news and trends from the field of feeds, veterinary preparations, cosmetics preparations and equipment for breeders. On the indoor exhibition space there was a number of companies including Royal Canin Czech and Slovac Republics, Samohýl, A – VET, Bayer, Brit – VAFO PRAHA, Candy, EUROBEN, Wholesale Salač, MEVET, Patron Ca, Gimborn, Petshop Vetcentrum, Tenesco, CZ anidis, Dibaq, AKINU a Beatin Aqua. Also foreign companies presented themselves at the trade fair: Aqua – Szut, Barking Heads, Mealberry and foreign media partners. Alltogether there were 101 exhibitors on net exhibition space of 1,044 sqm.
ACCOMPANYING PROGRAMME
We have prepared a rich accompanying programme with help of the main partner of the trade fair – Animal Protection Foundation. Main topic of the programme was the mission, activity, campaign and projects of Animal Protection Foundation, animal shelters, czech and european animal supportive legislation, projects SOS Zvíře and Pes ve městě, HELPPES guide dog training, dog training presentation by Záchranná brigáda kynologů Praha, Dog frisbee, presentation of work with dogs in animal shelter Troja and Dogdancing. The visitors could also get to know the work of PET- MEDIC veterinary ambulance. During the accompanying programme introduced herself on the stage for example MVDr. Hana Žertová with pet consultancy, Centre for Guide Dog Training with demonstrations and talks about guide dog training or Pomocné tlapky organization. Visitors could also get to know the activities of Czech Association for Nature Protection, who has brought handicapped bats to the trade fair. In the framework of the trade fair an exhibition of noble guinea pigs took place held by the Organisation of guinea pig and other small rodent breeders and four day Agility ARION CUP.
MARKETING CAMPAIGN FOR PETS organized a strong marketing campaign, which took place during the whole year mainly in professional media and was also oriented on internet users. In media there was a longtime PR campaign focused on comunication of key-information and accompanying programme of the trade fair. Two months before the event the promotion was supported by advertisements, news and articles in print media, radio, television, internet and outdoor promotion.
