FROM THE CHAIRMAN
Ia tetap semangat melanjutkan pendidikannya sambil bekerja mengumpulkan sampah-sampah bekas.
Year of 2013 is indeed a delighted year as we heard many success stories of our sponsored children. One of them is Asan Basri – a 12th grade high schooler. He joined our Sponsor a Child program 7 years ago. Both of his parents passed away when he was 10 years old, left him with 7 brothers and sisters to take care. However, this tragedy did not discourage nor break his determination for better life. To survive, he collects garbages as he continues his study and aims to always becomes the best in his grade.. His dream is to be a successful businessman so that he can support his siblings and help others who are in need just like him. Asan and other thousands of children are the main purpose for the existence of World Harvest. Another reason to be grateful for is we gave Kusnulah and her family a better life by renovating her dilapidated house. Kusnulah is a top student and she has won many traditional dance competitions. Together with her parents and three brothers and sisters, Kusnulah lived in a house without roof. When the rain came, they could only use a corner of the house to avoid the water. Today with your generosity , the family is living in a decent house. Moreover, on July 24th 2013 together with Emilie Faith Foundation, we dedicated Wahana Harapan Junior High School (SMP) and Vocational School (SMK) located in Tegalangus,Tangerang. We would like to appreciate to all of our donors for partnering with us. Your generosity has influenced many people, brought thousands of dreams into reality and built many communities. We can’t do it without a your supports. Our prayers that God will reward your kindness with His abundant blessings. Thank you.

FROM THE VICE CHAIRMAN
Dear World Harvest Partners, First and foremost, thank you for standing together with us in bringing God’s blessings to hundreds of thousands ofpeople in so many countries of the world. People are helped and doing better because of you. Children are fed and educated because of you. You have been God’s hands and feet that helped these people.Take these youth from Sierra Leone. All of them are war amputees. A few years ago, the country deep in civil war fighting for blood diamonds, a fragile new government tried to broker peace with a campaign slogan: ”The future is in your hands”. The rebels promptly responded with a campaign of terror, hacking off young people’s hands, arms and legs just to show everybody what they think of that slogan. Countless died. More than 150,000 young people, some of them only a few months old, lost their limbs. Our World Harvest director in Sierra Leone, Mambud Samai started a football (soccer) club for war amputees. Through this club, young people were given a new positive outlook and identity. They regained confi dence by accomplishing something that nobody expected. They trained themselves hard to play with such agility, speed and sportsmanship. They become such an inspiration how one can overcome
the worst tragedy and become a victor instead of victim. The club now has more than 350 professional football players, all war amputees from all over the country. They continue to inspire others how not to respond to violence with violence, how not to retaliate or harbor bitterness even when injustice is inflicted upon you. How that liberates and gives new hope! I think in big and small ways that summarizes what we have done together in so many parts of the world. Liberate and give new hope. Because of you, I get to see first hand how that played out. This year we were in Uganda, Tanzania, Liberia, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Nepal and Pakistan doing leadership conferences. We did relief ministries for the Syrian refugees in Lebanon, for the Congolese refugees in Uganda and medical camps in Nepal. We gave out blankets for war victims in Aleppo, Syria. We sponsored 577 children in Indonesia and Africa through WorldHarvest USA. I wish you were there to see how their faces lit up and their minds changed. But you were there. Through your prayers and contribution. Thank you. Let’s continue doing good. You are making a difference. A life-changing difference. Dr. Daniel Hanafi Vice Chairman

WOMEN OF NATION IN ACTION
Women of Nation Sebagai bukti kepedulian Women of Nation kepada 119 anak-anak asuhnya, mereka mengajak anak-anak berekreasi ke Sea World Ancol.
