PRAGUE - the capital and largest city, a commercial and cultural centre of the Czech Republic, remains one of the most beautiful historical European cities, is known as” the Golden city” and “the city of a Hundred spires” because of its rich architecture (many churches and cathedrals). Some popular sites in Prague are St.Vitus Cathedral, Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, Astrological Clock and Old Town Square.
Three famous spa towns in western Bohemia: Karlovy Vary Mariánské lázně Františkovy lázně
KARLOVY VARY - was founded in the 14th century by the Emperor Charles IV., according to legend King Charles IV. supposedly discovered a hot spring while hunting , a popular place for patients from all over the world, especially those suffering from stomach, gallbladder and liver disorders.

KARLŠTEJN - medieval castle near Prague,the most famous, Charles IV. built the castle in 1348 as a place of safe-keeping for the crown jewels. BRNO – centre of South Moravia,it is situated in the southeastern CZ, is known for its modern functionalist villa Tugendhat, Špilberk ruin of castle, a motor racing circut takes place here,foreign businessmen come to see the traid fairs and exhibitions held in Brno every year. PLZEŇ- famous for one product- Pilsner beer/ Brewery Plzeň/. The tradition of beer brewering in Plzeň dates back to 1295 when the town was awarded the right to brew by King Vaclav II., there is the third largest synagogue in the world. OLOMOUC - in the north of Moravia ,in a region called Haná, it is a trading,industrial educational and cultural centre, a beautiful university town, is the seat of the bishops and archbishops of Moravia has been since the middle ages. The Holy Trinity Column is more than 30 meters high and is a remarkable example of Baroque piety. The column is located on the main square in Olomouc. HLUBOKÁ CHATEAU - located in southern Bohemia. LEDNICE- VALTICE COMPLEX - is in southeastern Moravia, Lednice Chateau is a combination of Baroque, Classical and neo-Gothic styles. It is surrounded by an English garden style park was established between 18th and 19th century. TELČ - located in southern Bohemia, historical town centre is UNESCO site, boasts one of the most beautiful squares in the Czech Republic, which has preserved line of historical townhouses with an arcade and Renaissance chateau. ČESKÝ KRUMLOV - historical town centre was made a World Heritage Site because of its status as a unique example of medieval town planning, located on the bend near the beginning
of the Vltava River, there is a revolving auditorium, a miraculously preserved Baroque theatre. HOLAŠOVICE - historical village in the south of Bohemia, a typical example of traditional Central European village,it has farmhouses which are located around a pond,what makes these small houses unique is their special design,walls,arched entrance gates and decorative front facades, this style is known as “Peasant Baroque”. KUTNÁ HORA - historical centre with the Gothic Cathedral of St. Barbara and the Church of Our Lady in Sedlec, in the Middle Ages was known as “ the silver treasure house “ of the kingdom because of its silver mines. LITOMYŠL CHATEAU - Litomyšl Palace is perhaps the most beautiful chateau in eastern Bohemia,the richly decorated graffiti plaster is a characteristic feature of many Czech Renaissance buildings / chimneys covered in sgraffiti-wall drawings cut into plaster /. TREBÍČ - the Jewish Quarter, the Jewish cemetery and St.Procoius are an example of Christian and Jewish culture that existed so close to one another. ZELENÁ HORA - the pilgrimage Church of St John of Nepomuk at Zelená Hora near Ždár nad Sázavou is perhaps the most beautiful Baroque structure in the whole Czech Republic and it shows the change from Gothic to Baroque architecture. KROMĚŘÍŽ - Archbishop's Palace Kroměříž and there is the Kroměříž Castle and gardens is dominated by an early Baroque castle with a large park and a unique flower garden.
