© 2014 Universitair Ziekenhuis Gent

Exposure adjusted rate of VTE was similar in Avastin vs control arms in all tumor types studied except in pancreatic cancer where VTE rate appeared lower in the Avastin arm (35% vs 53%). ‡The exposure adjusted rate ratio for Grades 3-5 VTE was 0.83 (95% CI 0.68-1.02). Abbreviations: NA=not applicable; OR=odds ratio; VTE=venous thromboembolic event.
Hurwitz: meta-analysis of 6,055 patients, using individual patient data, from 10 randomized Phase 2/3 studies Overall risk factors for VTE: tumor type, older age, poorer PS, VTE history, baseline oral anticoagulant use, and prior surgery.12 Tumor type was considered the strongest risk modifier for VTE. No significant difference was observed between Avastin and the control group on the effect of any of these risk factors. Additionally, the rate of VTEs was not dose dependent across tumor types in which different doses were used (NSCLC, CRC, and breast cancer).

Conclusion:
we
I do it my way Ik geef avastin voorzichtig bij VTE en onder behandelingmetAC…
