Beberapa Kasus SDM http://www.unisosdem.org (2011)
• Keputusan produsen Blackberry, Research in Motion Company (RIM) untuk membangun pabriknya di Malaysia, dengan alasan membutuhkan pekerja yang lebih profesional serta memiliki skill teknologi yang dibutuhkan. Padahal Indonesia mampu menyerap 4.000.000 produk Blackberry dalam setahun. Kasus ini membuktikan bahwa ketidaksiapan dalam menghadapi tuntutan skill industri multinasional membuat Indonesia hanya dijadikan sebagai negara berorientasi pada konsumsi, bukan sebagai negara yang memiliki orientasi produksi teknologi. 5-6/03/2013

• Ketika pabrik-pabrik berdiri di Indonesia, entah secara temporer atau permanen, pengangguran di Indonesia yang berkontribusi terbesar atau 60% dari total pengangguran di wilayah ASEAN hanya dapat menempati posisi sebagai buruh kontrak atau outsourcing. Ini merupakan sebuah ironi, ketika pemimpin negara dan pembuat kebijakan ekonomi menyambut MEA dengan tangan terbuka, ada berbagai aspek yang belum dipersiapkan secara matang seperti pasar bebas tenaga kerja yang akhirnya menempatkan Indonesia sebagai negara penghasil buruh terbesar di ASEAN, bukan sebagai negara penghasil tenaga kerja yang memiliki skill serta dapat bersaing dengan pekerja migran asal negara lainnya. Kondisi ini bukan hanya menimpa tenaga kerja yang ada di Indonesia, tapi juga tenaga kerja di Malaysia yang kini bernasib sama seperti buruh, bahkan diperlakukan dengan martabat yang lebih rendah 5-6/03/2013 dari pembantu rumah LSB KLNtangga.
