Waarom? • beperken faalkosten bouw, in vroeg stadium zicht op Life Cycle Costs (L.C.C.) • beslissing ondersteuning (keuzes) • optimaliseren interne ontwerpproces (pressure cooker) • ontwerp ondersteuning (fouten vermijden informatie overdracht) • enkelvoudig data invoeren (in 1 keer goed) • samenwerkingsmodel aannemers • gebruiker begrijpt 3D (makkelijker dan 2D) • op termijn: datamanagement gebouwen, 1 systeem voor tekeningen etc. (nu meerdere systemen)
