March, 5th Wednesday Meeting at school at 6.15 p.m. to go by coach to Ciampino Airport. Flight arrival at 7.45 p.m. and transfer by coach to Ladispoli. All the students go to the host families’ houses. March, 6th Thursday Meeting at school at 9.00 a.m.; visit of the City Hall and official welcome by Italian students and families at the Assembly room at 9.30 a.m.. Performance of Mrs. Palmitessa’s choir; school teacher Maiuolo’s orchestra; trumpet exhibition by ex-student Fumarola Alessandro (jazz music); guitar exhibition by a twinning student Daniele Di Chio. At 11.00 a.m. brunch offered by Italian families at the school theatre. Visit of the school. Ladispoli bike tour to take photos of “Torre Flavia” and “Bosco di Palo”. At 1.30 p.m. lunch at the school canteen (thanks to “CIR”). In the afternoon sport activities. At 4.00 p.m. Zumba lesson at the school Gym (thanks to Stefania Pistola). At 5.30 p.m. all the students go to the host families’ houses. March, 7th Friday Meeting at school at 7.15 a.m. to go by coach (offered by Ladispoli Major) to “Cascata delle Marmore” for a guided walk along the falls path. Packed lunch next to the waterfalls. After lunch a guided tour of the ancient town of Narni. At 5.00 p.m. transfer by coach (3 hours) to Ladispoli. At 8.00 p.m. all the students go to the host families’ houses. March, 8th Saturday Meeting at the railway station at 8.30 a.m. to go to Rome for the all day. Guided tour of Rome historical centre: Colosseum (visit), “San Clemente” (visit), packed lunch at “Circo Massimo”, “Campidoglio”, “Piazza Venezia”, “Fori Imperiali”, “San Pietro in Vincoli (Mosè)”, “Santa Maria Maggiore”. Coming back to Ladispoli at 7.00 p.m. by train. At 8.30 p.m. students have pizza all together. March, 9th Sunday Family Day.
March, 10th Monday Meeting at the railway station at 8.30 a.m. to go to Rome the whole day (packed lunch or Mc Donald’s) for a guided tour: Saint Peter’s “Basilica” and Dome (visit), “Castel Sant’Angelo”, “Piazza Navona” (Diocleziano’s Stadium), “San Luigi dei Francesi (Caravaggio)”, Pantheon (visit), “Fontana di Trevi”, Via del Corso (shopping) and Spagna steps. Coming back to Ladispoli at 7.00 p.m. to go to the host families’ houses. March, 11th Tuesday Meeting at school at 8.30 a.m. to leave for a guided tour of ancient Ostia by coach. Packed lunch at Ostia site. From Ostia to Cerveteri by coach. At 2.00 p.m. guided visit of “Banditaccia”, an Etruscan necropolis in Cerveteri, (thanks to the students of “I.I.S. Mattei” of Cerveteri). At 4.45 p.m. back to Ladispoli and free time for shopping. At 7.00 p.m. opening of the “goodbye party” at the presence of the Headmaster and the Major of Ladispoli (Mr. Paliotta). All the students, teachers, families together at the “sala polifunzionale”. Dinner offered by the Italian families (farewell buffet). Musical performance by “Banda La Ferrosa” and “Coro Polifonico Città di Ladispoli”. At 9.30 p.m. “Let’s Dance” music and dancing with a fantastic DJ and fun with the entertainer Stefania. Final greetings at 11.30 p.m. and everybody “to bed” for the last Italian night. March, 12th Wednesday Meeting at school at 8.15 a.m. to go by coach to Ciampino Airport. Dutch flight departure at 11.25 a.m.. Italian students back to school at about 11.30 a.m..
