Trouw donderdag op basis van cijfers van het College voor Zorgverzekeringen (CVZ).Bij zorgverzekeraar UVIT (4,2 miljoen verzekerden) vragen iedere maand vierduizend mensen om een regeling. Vorig jaar en het jaar daarvoor waren dat er nog drieduizend per maand. Het probleem van wanbetalers bestaat al langer.Daarom voerde de overheid in 2009 een incassotraject in dat sneller moet dwingen tot het betalen van de zorgpremie. Dat leidt echter niet tot een vermindering van de betalingsproblemen. In 2008 waren er 240 duizend wanbetalers, eind vorig jaar 244 duizend.Wie een half jaar betalingsachterstand oploopt, wordt als wanbetaler aangemeld bij het CVZ.. Het college heeft inmiddels met meer dan driehonderdduizend verzekerden een gedwongen betalingsregeling. Dat betekent dat de achterstallige betalingen worden ingehouden op inkomen, uitkering of zorgtoeslag.Toch loopt het aantal mensen met betalingsproblemen nog steeds op.
