Perfect. Mijn hoofd implodeert. Zwarte vlekken trekken me mee in een allesomvattende duisternis. Koppijn! Felle kleuren flitsen in mijn gezichtsveld. Draaierig.
Mijn hart klopte in mijn keel.
Genadeloos gedumpt.
Hij zag me kijken. ‘Zo,’ zei de man, mij aankijkend.
Een tweede man verschijnt. Mijn hart bonkt tegen mijn ribben. Wat willen ze van me? Moet ik iets zeggen? Waarom zeggen zij niets? ‘Zo! Shit. Geef me water!, had ik moeten zeggen.
Verdeeld in nette stapeltjes. Shit! Waar had hij me mee opgezadeld?
‘We gaan gewoon helemaal los!’
Of anders?
Tranen prikken in mijn ogen.
Shit.
‘Oma? Hoe bedoel je?’ Nu ben ik volledig in de war. Ineens gaat me een lichtje op; hij is me gisteren gevolgd. ‘Je hebt me continu in de gaten gehouden!’ ‘Natuurlijk. Dom wijf.’ Me nog uitschelden ook! Ik ontsteek in een woedeaanval. ‘Klootzak! Hij duwt me terug. Edward torent boven me uit. Edward lacht me uit. ###
