The Trade Fair was attended by altogether 156 exhibiting firms, which presented their expositions in 3 halls on the gross exhibition area of 11,400 m2. The Trade Fair was visited by altogether 28,552 anglers. We are glad that the FOR FISHING Trade Fair has become a sought-after and prestigious event in the Czech Republic and we will be highly pleased if you support this trade fair through your participation next year as well. TRADE FAIR PATRONAGE Jakub Vágner, a world-famous angler, traveller and adventurer, has become, already traditionally, the patron of the trade fair. The visitors could see him on Thursday and Friday at his exposition. Jakub prepared two interesting lectures for them and provided thousands of autographs. Visitors could take a photograph with Jakub, but they could also obtain information about the WORLD CARP CLASSIC competition which is to be held for the first time in the Czech Republic this year, namely in the Pálava area.

COMPETITIONS
TOP EXPO competition The competition included 141 expositions registered, and the Professional Jury of the Trade Fair consisting of Tomáš Kotrč, MBA – Chief Executive Officer of ABF a.s.; Michal Sedláček – FOR FISHING Trade Fair Manager; and Jan Trnka, DiS. – Director of the Technical Department of ABF a.s., did not have an easy task at all. At the end the Jury decided to grant the TOP EXPO award in the category up to 50m2 to NORMARK (for their VMC exposition) and the TOP EXPO award in the category above 50m2 to FISH-PRO.
ACCOMPANYING PROGRAMME FOR FISHING LECTURES Altogether 14 lecturers presented their speeches at the 7th edition of the FOR FISHING Trade Fair. The visitors could choose from the entire range of fishing techniques, they could take part in a number of lectures from Josef Konopásek, Vladimír Zelenka, Karel Nikl, Pavel Straka, Ivan Fabián and others. The largest interest was, however, concentrated on the lectures which were prepared by Jakub Vágner for visitors. All lectures took place in the Congress Hall which is situated in the Entrance Hall II on the first floor. COMPETITIONS The visitors could take part in a visitor competition for two vouchers for one-week permission valued CZK 7,000, which was sponsored by the firm “Sumčák”, www.sumcak.cz. The competition entitled “Paint a Merry Fish” was prepared for children. ON-LINE Also this year we prepared interviews with exhibitors, lectures, organisation of competitions as well as interviews with visitors for the public. The on-line transmission was running on www.forfishing.cz.
MARKETING CAMPAIGN The promotion of the FOR FISHING Trade Fair was running for all the year especially in specialised media. Two months before the event the campaign was intensified still with promotion in radio stations, televisions and on the Internet, the outdoor advertising was intensive as well. We managed to ensure advertisements in the lists of fishing districts for 2016 and 2017. SPECIALISED MAGAZINES: Rybářství, Kapr a kapří svět a Kajman INTERNET: Mrk.cz, Carpfishing.cz, Nachytáno.cz OUTDOOR: Billboardy a Bigboardy po celé ČR.

DAVID KOLOUŠEK, Commercial Director of the representation of SAENGER Czech and Slovak Republic Saenger presented its products and services at the For Fishing Trade Fair in the non-sales part. Therefore we could offer enough space to innovations and to a large number of questions. We could dedicate our time to all interested persons in quiet atmosphere. The main idea was therefore rather presentation and promotion of the goods than hectic sales. This effort was appreciated by both anglers and businesspersons, and we are planning to adhere to this strategy also during the next editions. The year 2016 surprised us with enormous interest of the fishing public and it is clear that Letňany revived in winter as never before. Do not hesitate and visit us also in 2017, when we will meet together with a team of experts to assess innovations from such brands as Anaconda, Uni cat, Aquantic, MS Range as well as Iron Claw. KAREL NIKL, owner of the firm “Karel Nikl” Since I attend various fishing exhibitions all over Europe, I have a possibility of comparing the standards of individual exhibitions. I am able to state, in a responsible way and with pleasure, that the Prague Exhibition Event “For Fishing” belongs among the best ones on the European Continent. I myself was nicely surprised to see how much the lecture hall improved and how many people came there. It is surely a lovely experience to have a lecture in a large area with high-quality projection and excellent audio systems for both listeners and lecturers. PAVEL ŠUSTR, owner of the firm “CHYTIL” The seventh edition of the FOR FISHING 2016 exhibition was a nice example for our firm, confirming that we still have a lot of to offer and personally present to anglers. We have been regular participants of this exhibition since its beginning, i.e. since the “zeroth edition”, and the growing number of halls, exhibitors and visitors feature a sharply rising trend, and this growth rate is so high that I sometimes ask myself how big this exhibition will be in 3 years… Nevertheless, we are glad to see that the implementing team manages to develop our sector, sports fishing, in all the directions, to attract visitors and prepare background facilities which are not available in any other similar places. When I was showing photographs of the trade fair to our foreign partners, speaking about the large number of visitors for 4 days, they did not understand at all that the Prague exhibition FOR FISHING could be so successful in such a small country. Yes, it is very successful and next year they will come to see this event personally from England, in order to enjoy the atmosphere which is there during the trade fair. At the end I cannot help wishing the FOR FISHING exhibition a lot of good ideas, still more visitors and perhaps also nice weather, but in any case the enthusiasm to master something and to be the best one. VLADIMÍR DOŠKÁŘ, owner of the FISHING TRAVEL AGENCY I have been taking part in the FOR FISHING Trade Fair as an exhibitor already for several years. The continuous improvement of the Trade Fair quality leads me to thinking about how far the organisers of this fishing celebration can get in their effort. I regularly attend also other trade fairs, not only in our country, but also certain trade fair events in foreign countries, and it is necessary to state that FOR FISHING 2016 has set up a very high benchmark for all organisers of similar events all over Europe. It will be my honour to take part in next editions as well.

Kocháč – FOR FISHING has defeated Brno already long ago, and it is the largest and most prestigious event in the Czech Republic. Nevertheless, according to the photographs I have noticed one thing. At this exhibition, there are firms which perceive the event really as an exhibition. This means non-sales presentations of their product range and innovations. Beautiful stands, really wonderful expositions, beginning with Fox, continuing with Jet fish, Mikbaits, Nikl, R-spekt and many others. Pedro1 – A very good exhibition, like every year: Who was looking for something has a great chance of finding it. In terms of social atmosphere again one level higher than last year, in spite of the fact that I had to leave in early afternoon. rybomil – For me this year’s edition was definitely the best FF edition of all. A lot of innovations, indeed, many matters of interest, even for spin fishing. Simply said - this time there are a lot of interesting things to see and people can really choose on what they want to spend their money.
