PRAGUE INDUSTRIAL TRADE FAIRS – NOW LASTING FOUR DAYS From 10 May to 13 May 2016 the PVA EXPO PRAGUE exhibition centre was filled up with technical innovations from all industrial sectors as the venue hosted the industrial trade fairs FOR INDUSTRY, FOR ENERGO, FOR LOGISTIC, FOR 3D and FOR INFOSYS. The accompanying programme offered an important meeting of power engineers this year, known as ENERGO SUMMIT. The event attracted representatives of ministries, energy market specialists and guests from embassies and chambers of commerce from more than 14 countries of the world. A great interest within the framework of the accompanying programme for the public was focused especially on the seminar on information and cybernetic security, conference “Electronic documents in an effective way” or seminar “Securing and placing cargo on a vehicle” with practical presentations, including the testing of the right securing of cargo. Visually attractive points of the accompanying programme included a unique simulator for the training of drivers of freight vehicles, overview of electromobiles and also the largest exhibition of trends in the field of 3D printing in the Czech Republic - 3Dexpo 2016. The fact that this is a progressive sector affecting many other areas is confirmed by the growing number of exhibitors, as well as several times larger exhibition area compared to the last year’s event. The most impressive industrial innovations at FOR INDUSTRY were awarded the traditional GRAND PRIX award. The general partner to the FOR ENERGO Trade Fair was the ČEZ Group and the ÚJV Group was its partner.
3Dexpo
Also this year, the 3Dexpo exhibition was held within the framework of the industrial trade fairs. The core topic of the event consisted of desktop 3D printers and 3D technologies which were still supported with a two-day specialised conference presenting new trends of both the world and Czech markets of 3D printing, scanning and modelling. The exhibition was attended by Czech manufacturers and suppliers of 3D printers, 3D scanners, printing materials, and they demonstrated interesting innovations of Czech designers (some of them being publicly presented for the first time at all), who deliver their successful 3D printers to Europe, as well as further to the world. The first day of the event offered the Fashion.STL show indicating possibilities of use of the 3D printing during creation of dress accessories. On the second day it was possible to see the contest of 3D printers, during which the competing teams of exhibitors had to print out the “specified model” of the PLA material before the very eyes of the viewers and within the specified time limit. The two-day conference was full of interesting lectures. Already during the first day, the discussion panel was moderated by Jan Homola, Head of the publishing house “Vydavatelství Nová media”, who interviewed leading Czech developers as well as suppliers. This year’s edition of 3Dexpo, organised again on a larger exhibition area, in a larger conference hall and with even a larger interest of visitors, confirmed the great potential of modern 3D technologies and their use in practice.
RESULTS OF THE 2016 GRAND PRIX COMPETITION The GRAND PRIX competition for the best exhibit or technology, which are assessed by the Professional Jury directly on the stands of the exhibitors registered in this competition, was traditionally held within the framework of the trade fairs. The winning exhibits were declared during the social evening party, which took place in the Congress Hall on Wednesday, 11 May 2016. The prizes were handed over personally by doc. Ing. Stanislav Maňas, CSc., Chairman of the Jury, and Tomáš Kotrč, MBA, Chief Executive Officer of ABF, a.s. The prizes were granted without specification of any exact order; the awards were obtained by the following exhibitors:
