Oak-beechwood, aforest typerare intheNetherlands;only occurring in some localities in the eastern part of the country,on permeablecalcareous loamysoils and sandy clay. Oneof the rarerforest types in this countryin which the beech thrives spontaneously. Gekenmerkt door het veelvuldig voorkomen van Ononis spinosa, Carduus nutans, Cirsium vulgare, Cichorium intybus, Briza media en Medicago lupulina. Vertoont enige voorkeur voor zuidexposities. Lolieto-Cynosuretum plantaginetosum mediae, variantwith Ononis spinosa. Lightly grazedgrassland with many conspicuousflowers,on the dike slopes. This variant differs from the previous one due to thehigher frequency of Ononis spinosa, Carduus nutans, Cirsium vulgare, Cichorium intybus, Briza media, and Medicago lupulina. Eiken-Haagbeukenbos op leemhoudende, vochtige, voedselrijke grond. Dit weelderig eikenbos komt vooral voor op oude landgoederen (de Bijvank) op gebroken grond. Querceto-Carpinetum stachyetosum. Oak-hornbeam-forest on loamy, moist,fertile soil. This type of luxuriant oak wood is mostly found on old estates (e.g. Bijvank) onclayey sandysoil. Querceto-Carpinetum filipenduletosum. Als de vorige subassociatie, doch drassiger. Veelal in terreindepressies en op ondoorlatende gronden, o.a. op de Komgronden. Reeds een overgang vormend naar het Alnetum glutinosae (34). Eiken-Beuken-mengbos, een in Nederland zeldzaam bostype, alleen op enkele plaatsen in het oosten des lands voorkomend op doorlatende kalkrijke leemgronden en zavels. Een van de weinige bostypen in ons land, waarin van nature beuken voorkomen. Hier voorkomend op de doorlatende Overslaggronden, echter niet zeer typisch ontwikkeld. Querceto-Carpinetum asperuletosum. Oak-beechwood, aforest typerare intheNetherlands;only occurring in some localities in the eastern part of the country, on permeablecalcareous loamysoils and sandy clay. One of the rarerforest types in this countryin which the beech thrives spontaneously. In the area under consideration thiscommunityoccurs onthepermeable spillsoils; however it is not verytypicallydeveloped here. Cariceto elongatae-Alnetum glutinosae.
