Performed according to a statistical procedure elaborated by the provider. During the evaluation of results the following statistical methods are used in order to minimise the influence of outliers: DIXON / VEGLIA The assessment of the laboratories is performed for each round of the proficiency testing scheme and based on the internal dispersion for the laboratories (precision). and based on the deviation from the assigned value (trueness).
Z-scores are used as statistical criteria in the assessment of the laboratories.

The participants receive instructions for the handling of the test items and, where necessary, for the performance of the test(s). A discussion forum between the provider and the participants takes place. The participants can ask the provider for technical instruction to help for the improvement of their performance.)
