Ibu memberikan cairan kental kekuningan yang keluar selama 3 hari pertama(kolustrum) kepada bayi. Ibu memberikan ASI setiap kali bayi membutuhkan. Ibu memberikan ASI saja tanpa makanan / minuman tambahan sampai usia 6 bulan kepada bayi ibu. Ibu memberikan susu formula jika ASI tidak mencukupi.
