Hierna moet men het login scherm

Planning As an experienced technician you will not be surprised that a thor ough planning is necessary for a successful installation. In order to assist you we summarize the experiences of our technicians in this chapter.
3.3.1
Specifications
3.3.1.1
Cables Keep in mind that the cables must be suitable for the specified data rates and the expected external interference. For example: • Reader data is not reliable with cables longer than 25 meters. Use shielded cable. Cable specifications are shown on the appropriate drawing. For ex ample, for the specifications of the PX007B/MF reader see the draw ing 76000161 on page 4-4. • Network cables should be according to specifications determined by network manager. Tip
IE Keyprocessor
If you wish to use RJ45 connectors, have a suitable connector tool and sufficient cable available.
Page ● 3-3
3.3.1.2
Power Supplies Power usage is given in the datasheet, chapter 4.1. Make sure that the supply and battery backup is sufficient is for the required power and backup time. Take into account the use of door strikes as well.
3.3.1.3
Orbit outputs The Orbit has various solid-state relays that can be used to switch a door strike (or other equipment). These relays are only suitable for D.C. and maximum 28 Volt at 1 Ampere (not inductive). One side of the relays is grounded: each relay switches one contact to ground (see drawing 76000160): all outputs, OUT0 and OUT1 of each reader, have a common, ground. These relays are not suitable for all possible situations. If, for exam ple, an electrically isolated switch is required, an additional me chanical relay is needed. Note
3.3.1.4
This outputs are normally open (N.O.) when the power is re moved from Astro. For high security situations where N.C. con tacts are used, it is necessary to use an additional mechanical relay.
Inputs Inputs (for door contacts, loops, etc.) are shown in the drawing 76000160. •
One side of all inputs is grounded.
• The other side of the input must be shorted to ground in order to activate the input. Normal switches can be used with these inputs without any prob lems. Note
3.3.1.5
Before connecting other equipment to Astro, consult the speci fications of the equipment to prevent conflicts and possible damage.
PC Hardware and Software Astro is designed to function with Microsoft Internet Explorer, version 6.0 or later. If an earlier version is used, some screens may not func tion properly. The Internet Explorer on the Astro CD is suitable for Astro. There are no specific requirements for the PC as the browser appli cation is quite simple. No additional software need be installed on the PC.
3.3.2
Mechanical Installation
3.3.2.1
Readers and Locks Determine where the readers are to be mounted and obtain the nec essary mounting materials.
Page ● 3-4
IE Keyprocessor
The proximity readers are mounted with screws from the front side of the reader, while the SL4 reader can only be mounted with bolts from the rear of the reader. Mounting information is included with each of the readers. Mounting materials are provided only for the SL4 reader. In certain situations this material may not be suitable. Ascertain that you have sufficient and suitable materials for the readers you must install. Mount the door strikes when installing the readers. Note
3.3.2.2
The distance between two Proximity readers (PX007B/MF) must be at least 20 centimeters. See also the mounting instructions on page 4-14.
Astro The Astro is normally mounted in the cabinet on the DIN-rail. Mount ing materials are only necessary in order to mount the cabinet. Take into account the following:
3.4
•
Distance Astro – Readers.
•
Mounting supply and battery backup.
•
Network cable length to HUB / PC.
Installation The following tasks can be done in any desired order.
3.4.1
Cabling ► ►
3.4.2
Lay all the cables in secure areas. Take care that all cables are sufficiently protected from wear and tear as well as from external electrical disturbances.
Housing In the instruction below, we assume Astro is mounted in the IE cabinet. ►
► ► ►
Note
IE Keyprocessor
Mount the cabinet. A mechanical drawing of the cabinet is included. Mount the Astro on the Din-rail. Mount the Supply. Connect the supply to Astro. Do not turn on the power for the Astro.
If the supply fails for a long period, the date and time will not be preserved. This can result in incorrect access control func tions. This can be avoided by using a battery backup.

Page ● 3-6
IE Keyprocessor
1. Set Global parameters •
Make connection to Astro with browser
•
Set Language
•
Set IP address
•
Set Date/Time
2. Set parameters for type reader used. 3. Test the functions of inputs, outputs, and reader(s). •
Make card valid
•
Test inputs/outputs
These steps are described below.
3.5.1
Global Parameters
3.5.1.1
Establish Connection with Browser Astro is designed to function in a LAN. If use in a WAN is desired, see the requirements in chapter 3.6.3 and consult your network ad ministrator. Ensure that you have a suitable PC with Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6.0 and SP-1 or later. Turn on the Astro power supply. ► Connect Astro to the PC using the network card in the PC This connection can be directly between the PC and Astro (use a cross-cable), or though a router, hub, or switch. The network man ager must ensure that the settings of the routers and/or switches are correct if these are used. ►
Set the IP address of the PC The IP address of Astro is 192.168.1.1 when shipped. To connect to the Astro it will be necessary to set the IP address of the PC to a value in the range 192.168.1.XXX ►
Start the browser and connect to Astro Enter the IP address of Astro in the address field of the browser. You should then see the login screen of Astro. ►
IE Keyprocessor

3.6.3
Astro in WAN It is not possible to set a default router in Astro. The use of Astro in WAN’s is therefore somewhat more complicated. This can also be the case in LAN networks that use routers. To use Astro in these situations it is necessary to set the router (that Astro uses) to respond to ARP requests with its own MAC address for all IP addresses behind the router. This is possible with most routers but is not always the setting used as default. Consult your network manager for more information.
