LAMPIRAN -1A PROSEDUR ANALISA WARNA LOVIBOND
1. Tujuan Metode ini menentukan warna dengan membandingkan cahaya yang dipancarkan melalui kedalaman tertentu dari lemak, minyak atau asam lemak terhadap warna cahaya asal dari sumber yang sama, dipancarkan melalui standart.
2. Batasan Dapat digunakan untuk minyak-minyak hewan, tumbuh-tumbuhan dan asam lemak

5. Langkah kerja 5.1. Cairkan contoh 100 C diatas titik leleh jika masih padat dan saring jika perlu untuk menghilangkan pengotor padat 5.2. Tuangkan contoh yang tersedia secukupnya ke dalam sel bersih dan kering 5.3. Tempatkan sel yang mengandung contoh kedalam pemegang sel secara benar. 5.4. Setelah penutupan ruang sel, segera tentukan warna contoh. Mula-mula digunakan rak warna kuning 10 terhadap merah 1. 5.5. Atur sampai perbandingan warna yang akurat dicapai, tanpa perlu mempertahankan ratio 10 kuning terhadap 1 merah dan gunakan angka biru atau netral yang rendah untuk memperoleh perbandingan, tapi tidak lebih dari 9.0 biru atau 3.0 netral 5.6. Mencatat ukuran cell dan pembacaan warna merah, kuning, biru atau netral pada pembentukan perbandingan warna. 5.7. Hasil dinyatakan dalam bentuk seperti dibawah ini : 5.7.1. Pembacaan angka merah, kuning, dan biru atau netral diperlukan untuk memperoleh perbandingan 5.7.2. Panjang sell yang digunakan 5.8. Pengukuran warna diambil pada satu panjang sel tidak boleh dipakai untuk menghitung nilai warna untuk panjang sell yang lain. 5.9. LAMPIRAN -1B PROSEDUR PEMBUATAN METYL ESTER ASAM LEMAK.
1. Tujuan Metil ester dari asam lemak dan minyak dipisahkan dan ditentukan secara kuantitatif dengan GLC menggunakan packed column tertentu atau asam lemak langsung dipisah dan ditentukan secara kuantitatif dengan GLC menggunakan capillary column tertentu.
2. Batasan Metode ini berlaku untuk asam lemak dan minyak nabati yang mempunyai atom karbon 6 sampai 20 setelah dirubah menjadi ester untuk packed atau langsung asam lemak untuk capillary column.

5. Langkah kerja 5.1. Determination carbon chain for fats and oils 5.1.1
Timbang sampel sekitar 0.02 gram kedalam vial 5 ml yang tertutup

Tambahkan 2 ml 0.05N NaOH – metanol, dan panaskan didalam blok pemanas pada suhu yang diatur 68+ 10C selama 10 menit.

Tambahkan 2 ml larutan reagen BF 3 metanol, dan panaskan didalam blok pemanas pada suhu yang diatur 68+ 10C selama 15 menit

Keluarkan dari blok pemanas dan didinginkan pada suhu ruangan

Tambahkan 2 ml heksan dan 1 ml larutan NaCl jenuh, kocok dan biarkan selama 1 menit, sekarang larutan heksan siap di injeksikan.
5.2. Determination carbon chain ini pack column 5.2.1. Timbang sampel sekitar 0.02 ml gram kedalam vial 5 ml yang tertutup. 5.2.2. Tambahkan 2 ml larutkan reagen BF 3 metanol, dan panaskan didalam blok pemanas pada suhu yang diatur 68 + 10C selama 15 menit 5.2.3. Keluarkan dari blok pemanas dan dinginkan pada suhu ruangan. 5.2.4. Tambahkan 2 ml heksan dan 1 ml larutan NaCl jenuh, kocok dan biarkan selama 2 menit, sekarang larutan heksan siap untuk di injeksikan. 5.3. Determination carbon chain ini capillary column 5.3.1. Timbang sampel sekitar 0.02 gram kedalam vial 5 ml yang tertutup 5.3.2. Tambahkan 2 ml heksan dan kocok, jika sampel tidak larut panaskan beberapa menit untuk melarutkannya. 5.3.3. Sekarang larutan heksan siap untuk di injeksikan.

LAMPIRAN -1C. PROSEDUR ANALISA KOMPOSISI ASAM LEMAK
1. Tujuan Metil ester dari asam lemak dipisahkan dan ditentukan secara kuantitatif dengan GLC menggunakan packed colomn tertentu asam lemak langsung dipisah dan ditentukan secara kuantitatif dengan GLC menggunakan capillary coloumn tertentu.
2. Batasan Metode ini berlaku untuk asam lemak dan minyak nabati yang mempunyai atom karbon 6 sampai 20 setelah dirubah menjadi metil ester untuk packed column atau langsung asam lemak untuk capillary column.

LAMPIRAN -1D PEMBUATAN LARUTAN STANDAR NATRIUM TIOSULFAT (NA 2 S 2 O 3 ) 1. Tujuan Cara ini menunjukkan pembuatan dan membakukan larutan natrium tiosulfat secara kuantitatif.

Didihkan air suling selama 20 menit dan dinginkan dengan penutup untuk mencegah penyerapan CO 2 . 4.2. Potasium Iodium solution, 15% Larutkan 150 gram Kalium Iodium ke dalam 1000 ml air suling 4.3. Starch Indicator, 1% Larutkan 1 gram serbuk starch ke dalam 100 ml air suling yang panas dan dinginkan. 4.4. Standart primer kalium dikromat 0.1 N 4.5. Larutkan 2.4518 gram yang telah dikeringkan dan dinginkan dalam labu ukur 500 ml dengan air destilat dan terakan sampai tanda batas dan simpan dalam botol gelap. 5. Langkah Kerja 5.1. Preparation of Sodium solution, 0.1N & 0.01N Larutkan dalam 124,5 + 0.1 gr Natrium thisulfat ke dalam air suling dan larutkan hingga 5 L. 5.2. Sodium Thiosulfate Standardization 0.1N Pipet 25 ml larutan kalium dichromat ke dalam erlenmeyer 300 ml, tambahkan 5 ml asam klorida pekat, 20 ml larutan kalium iodida dan aduk. Diamkan selama 5 menit, dan kemudian tambahkan 100 ml air suling. Titrasi dengan larutan natrium thiosulfat, aduk sampai warna kuning pucat. Tambahkan 1-2 ml indikator starch dan lanjutkan titrasi secara perlahan hingga warna biru benar benar tak kelihatan. 5.3. Sodium Thiosulfat Standardization 5.4. Encerkan 100 ml larutan N 2 S 2 O 3 0,1N ke dalam 1000 ml labu ukur dengan air destillat dan terakan sampai tanda batas. Untuk standarisasi, pipet 2 ml larutan kalium dichromat ke dalam erlenmeyer 300 ml . Tambahkan 5 ml asam klorida pekat, 20 ml larutan kalium iodium dan aduk. Diamkan selama 5 menit, dan kemudian tambahkan 100 ml air suling. Titrasi dengan larutan natrium thiosulfat, aduk sampai warna kuning pucat. Tambahkan 1-2 ml indikator starch dan lanjutkan titrasi secara perlahan hingga warna biru benar-benar tak kelihatan. 5.5. Perhitungan Universitas Sumatera Utara

LAMPIRAN -1E PEMBUATAN LARUTAN STANDAR WIJS
1. Tujuan Prosedur ini menggambarkan pembuatan larutan wijs dari iodine monochlorida
2. Batasan Cara ini hanya digunakan untuk membuat larutan wijs dari iodine monochlorida komersil.
3. Peralatan 3.1. Cylinder glass, 100, 1000 ml 3.2. Erlenmeyer flask, 500 ml 3.3. Filter paper 3.4. Magnetic stirrer 3.5. Reagent bottle, 5000 ml, amber 3.6. Volumentric pippete, 10 ml

5. Langkah kerja 5.1. Stock solution : Tambahkan 317 +0.1 g iodine monochloride ke 1 L asam asetat glasial, aduk hingga larut selanjutnya saring dengan kertas saring whatman 41H atau sejenisnya ke botol yang bersih dan kering. Saring dengan segera untuk mencegah terjadinya kontaminasi terhadap air dan simpan di tempat yang sejuk. Buang larutan bila terbentuk endapan. 5.2. Wijs Solution : Dengan menggunakan glas ukur tuangkan 117.0 + 0.1 ml larutan stock ke botol 5 L yang telah terisi asam asetat, kemudian aduk hingga merata. 5.3. Wijs standardization Menentukan perbandingan I/Cl yang mana harus dalam batas 1.10 + 0.1 seperti prosedur berikut : 5.3.1. Iodine content : Tuangkan 150 ml larutan chroline jenuh ke dalam erlenmeyer 500 ml, dan tambahkan beberapa butir butiran kaca. 5.3.2. Pipet 5 ml larutan wijs ke dalam larutan erlenmeyer yang telah berisi chlorine jenuh, aduk dan panaskan hingga mendidih. 5.3.3. Didihkan dengan cepat selama 10 menit, dinginkan dan tambahkan 30 ml asam sulfat 2% dan 15 ml larutan iodida. 5.3.4. Aduk dengan baik dan segera titrasi dengan larutan natrium thiosulfat 0.1N dengan starch sebagai indikator. 5.4. Total Halogen Content 5.4.1. Tuangkan 150 ml air destillat yang baru mendidih ke erlenmeyer 500 ml yang bersih dan kering. Universitas Sumatera Utara
5.4.2. Tambahkan 15 ml larutan kalium iodida 15% 5.4.3. Pipet 20 ml larutan Wijs ke dalam erlenmeyer tersebut, aduk hingga homogen 5.4.4. Titrasi dengan natrium tiosulfat 0.2N dengan starch sebagai indikator. 5.5. Perhitungan : Halogen ratio : Dimana :

1. Tujuan Bilangan iodine adalah suatu ukuran ketidakjenuhan dari minyak industri dan turunnya dan dinyatakan dalamistilah gram iodin terserap setiap 100 gram contoh (% iodine terserap).
2. Batasan Dapat digunakan untuk minyak-minyak industri dan turunnya, seperti minyak kering alami atau buatan dan asam lemaknya.

5.2. Tambahkan 10 ml Sikloheksana, pipet 15 ml larutan Wijs dalam labu yang mengandung contoh dan aduk dengan baik 5.3. Buat dan lakukan penentuan blanko sekaligus sama dengan contoh. 5.4. Simpan labu-labu di dalam tempat gelap selama 30 menit pada suhu 25 + 50C 5.5. Pindahkan labu ke penyimpanan, tambahkan 10 ml larutan Kl, 100 ml air suling. 5.6. Titrasi dengan larutan 0.1N Na 2 S 2 O 3 , penambahannya secara bertahap dan dengan pengadukan yang kuat dan tetap sampai warna kuning hampir lenyap. Tambahkan 1-2 larutan indikator kanji dan lanjutkan titrasi sampai warna biru lenyap seketika. 5.7. Perhitungan : Iodine value, gI 2 /100g Where :

1. Tujuan Metode ini mengukur stabilitas warna dari asam lemak (fatty acid) setelah pemanasan dalam kondisi analisa khusus.
2. Batasan Berlaku untuk semua fatty acid normal
3. Peralatan Oil batch Mixer Thermometer Tubes Thermal Resistance Filter paper Colorimeter
4. Bahan-bahan 4.1. Sulfuric Acid (corrosive material)
5. Langkah Kerja 5.1. Pembuatan larutan khusus Asam sulfat 1 : 1 Masukkan 1 bagian asam sulfat ke dalam 1 bagian air dengan hati – hati, jangan sampai terbalik. 5.2. Perlakuan Sampel Jika sampel yang diuji tidak cair pada suhu ruangan, cairkan dengan pemanasan di water batch sampai suhu tidak lebih dari 10 oC di atas titer sampel. Universitas Sumatera Utara
5.3. Perlakuan Peralatan 5.3.1. Pastikan sebelum oil batch digunakan, sudah diverifikasi dahulu suhunya dengan menggunakan thermometer standar. 5.3.2.
Tabung harus dicuci bersih dengan asam sulfat (1:1), kemudian dibilas dengan air distillat dan dikeringkan.
5.4. Cara Kerja 5.4.1. Set wadah minyak ke suhu 205 + 2 oC dan jaga suhu dalam kisaran khusus ini. 5.4.2. Isi tabung yang bersih dan kering hingga kedalaman 12.7 cm dengan sampel dan masukkan dalam wadah minyak. 5.4.3. Atur volume di dalam wadah minyak hingga ketinggian 14 cm dari bagian bawah gelas tabung. Bila meletakkan beberapa tabung gelas di dalam oil batch, suhunya tidak turun lebih dari 5 oC di bawah suhu minimum oil batch dan waktu untuk menaikkan suhu menjadi 205 oC tidak lebih dari 5 menit. 5.4.4. Atur waktu 60 menit untuk samplel yang memiliki bilangan iodium di atas 15 atau atur 120 menit jika sampel memiliki bilangan iodium lebih kecil atau sama dengan 15. 5.4.5. Pindahkan tabung dari oil batch dan lihat warna menggunakan AOCS official Method Td 1a - 65 atau Lovibond Color.

7. Informasi-informasi lain yang dibutuhkan Kebersihan glassware sangat penting. Metode yang disarankan dibersihkan dengan detergent dan dibilas dengan asam sulfat. Larutan dikromat jangan dilakukan.
