ABSTRACT
This study was carried out in order to obtain the mapping of the translation product of order speech act verb lexically, semantics adjustment of the speech act verbs’ translation and the affect of Power and Solidarity of Semantics in terms of the order speech act verb related to the pronoun of the speaker and hearer in the source and target language text. This study applied observation method to collect the data and also qualitative-descriptive to analyze the data. The data was analyzed through NSM theory by paraphrasing technique in order to explicate the data by Goddard, the subtypes of order were based on the Semantics dictionary by Wierzbicka and also supported by the meaning theory by Leech. The effect of Semantics on the source and target language was analyzed by Power and Solidarity Theory by Gillman and Brown and also supported by Shift in Translation by Catford. The result of this study indicates five subtypes of order speech act verb found on the data source. Those are mapped based on their grade, first was ‘instruct’, it was translated into perintah, menyuruh and menanyakan. Second was ‘command’ translated into memerintah and meminta. Third was ‘demand’ which could be translated into menuntut, meminta, penasaran (adjective), and also tanya. Fourth was ‘order’ translated into memerintahkan, menyuruh and also meminta. Fifth was ‘tell’ translated into perintah menyuruh, diminta, mengajarkan, memberitahu, , berkata and also bilang. The affect of Power and Solidarity of Semantics such as Power–Power Semantics, Power–Solidarity Semantics, Solidarity–Power Semantics and Solidarity–Solidarity Semantics. Translation shift that was found such as level shift and structural shift The result of this study proves that lexical items in the source language text could be translated in several lexical items; meanwhile those translation products were accepted in the target language text. The explication and also the analysis of Power and Solidarity of the lexical also derived the deeper understanding of each translation of order speech act verbs lexical. Key words: translation, mapping, order speech act verbs, power and solidarity, Semantics.
