ABSTRAK Banyak orang tidak mengetahui bahwa dirinya terkena penyakit ginjal. Gejala yang ditimbulkan dapat disertai dengan rasa sakit, tetapi ada juga yang tidak. Secara umum, gejala yang ditimbulkan oleh penyakit ginjal adalah kesulitan atau nyeri saat buang air kecil, sering buang air kecil pada malam hari, urin bercampur dengan darah, sulit tidur, nyeri punggung dan lain-lain. Efek terburuk dari penyakit ginjal adalah disfungsi dari ginjal sehingga tidak dapat menjalankan fungsinya dalam menyaring kotoran, menyaring darah, menghasilkan darah dan lainnya. Akhirnya, ginjal tersebut harus diangkat. Untuk mengurangi resiko penyakit ginjal, diperlukan pengetahuan atau informasi tentang ginjal seperti fungsi ginjal, gejala-gejalanya, dan cara pencegahan. Agar lebih interaktif dalam menyampaikan pengetahuan tersebut, dibangun sebuah aplikasi multimedia yang menyajikan pengetahuan tentang ginjal secara detil, menarik dan interaktif. Pada skripsi ini telah dibuat sebuah aplikasi yang dapat mempermudah masyarakat untuk mempelajari ginjal manusia. Materi disajikan dalam bentuk teks, gambar, animasi dan video. Adobe Flash CS3, dan Adobe Firework sebagai pembangun aplikasi dan pengolah gambar terkait, dengan menggunakan metode Sutopo. Aplikasi pembelajaran ginjal manusia ini mempermudah peranan pengajar untuk melakukan pengajaran terhadap masyarakat mengenai seluk beluk ginjal manusia. Isi dari materi tersebut terkait dengan fungsi ginjal, cara kerja ginjal, penyakit ginjal dan cara pencegahannya.
