CHAPTER 2 (General Management) a.! Executive Summary Nowadays, high increasing in community activities affect the needs of fast-serving food. Fast serving-food is needed to support human basic need without ignore their business. Seeing this as an ooportunity, MYLFood Company launched “Burb Box”, a package of food and drink, carrying simple and fast-serving food to go as its main concept. A package of Burb Box contains homemade chicken nuggets, potato wedges, mystery sauce which customers can’t choose and also iced tea, with relatively affordable price.

b.!Greater Good Philosophy In order to apply greater good as basic philosophy in our business and to make our business stand out from others, we put customer satisfaction above all. To achieve this priority, we designed our product that is fulfilling enough, but customer still can afford our product because the price is very reasonable. So, we could afford our main target—college students. We also try to maintain the quality of our handmade product by ensuring hygiene, fresh groceries and efficient process. a.! Designing budget In designing our budget plan, we collect each divisions’ gross budgeting, based on their need and their survey. After we have all gross budgeting from all divisions we evaluate them, and we helped them by giving them several options with fewer cost. We decided to allocate most of our capital to operations division. We try to make our financial budgeting as efficient as possible.

b.! Calculate funding sources To distribute the funding fairly, we calculate our capitals along with our assets carefully according to our budget plan.

c.! Recording cash flow, along with purchase proof We want to make sure that we follow the plan we have made. We constantly take the notes of cash in and out report and collect the purchase proof. !

d.! Financial statements, including balance sheets, cash flow, assets, etc Balance sheets and cash flow are two of our methods to ensure that our budgeting plans run smoothly in order to support the whole business

a.! Market survey To communicate our product well, we have to survey the market condition first. From the survey we had conducted, we decide our segments, target and positioning as well.

b.! Determine the ideal publication strategy Based from our previous market survey, we agreed to set teenagers as our dominant target. As we know that most of teenagers are !

quite active in social media, we decided that the most ideal publication strategy is via social media, such as LINE and Instagram.

c.! Determine sales target for each day and coordinating with other division to fulfill the target It is one of marketing division’s main job—to determine the target and fulfill the target itself. But in order to achieve the target, marketing division should cooperate with other divisions as well.

d.! Communicate the product to potential customers through the predetermined strategy We tried to maximize our communication and promotion through our social media.

Im!doing!better!than!in!the!previous!PA!project.!In!the!first!week!of!execution!i!join! operational!division!and!im!doing!my!job!in!manufacturing!products,!improve!quality,! ensure!product!availability,!checking!the!product!quality!whether!it!is!worth!to!be!sell! or!not.!On!the!second!week!of!execution,!i!move!to!execution!division,!but!still!im! doing!operasional!job!but!the!different!is!im!doing!the!execution!job!too,!there!are! determine!the!selling!place!in!SBM!or!at!certain!events,!stand!decoration,!taking!care! of!place!licensing,!and!prepare!all!the!needs!and!the!necessary!items!that!are!needed! on!the!day!of!execution.!I!think!im!doing!good!in!my!job!and!i!spend!plenty!of!my!time! to!finish!my!job,!but!i!think!Business!Simulation!project!really!drain!our!time!and!labor! very!intensive,!very!little!time!to!have!a!break!because!during!the!day!we!had!to!sell,! while!the!evening!we!had!to!make!the!product.!but!the!benefits!that!I!feel!from!simbis! is!teamwork,!how!to!deal!with!various!types!of!people!as!a!difficult!man!to!work,! bossy,!people!who!do!not!correspond!with!you,!I!also!learned!to!be!more!appreciating! others!and!how!to!manage!time!better!,!but!the!benefits!is!most!noticeable!to!me!is! that!it!is!difficult!to!make!money!and!therefore!we!must!have!a!strong!determination,! hard!work!and!smart!work.! !

I!owed!how!little!we!can!call!success!mostly!to!my!team.!I!wouldn't!mind!doing!all!of! this!again!from!beginning!to!the!end!with!the!exact!same!team.!Because!business! simulation!is!a!great!opportunity!for!students!to!bond!over!the!hardships!that!we! faced!together.!I'm!not!gonna!forget!the!moments!where!we!stayed!up!all!night! working!hours!and!hours!upon!end.!But!the!scary!thing!about!that!is!that!they!say! after!we!graduate,!work!is!not!going!to!be!any!easier!than!business!simulation.!So!I'm! glad!that!we!get!to!experience!it!before!we!jump!in!the!professional!world.! !
