Verslag IRO Olie- en Gasmissie naar Parijs, Frankrijk Van 21 tot en met 23 november 2011 heeft IRO een olie- en gasmissie naar Parijs, Frankrijk georganiseerd. Aan deze missie die werd geleid door de Sander Vergroesen die nieuwe IRO directeur die officieel per 1 januari 2012 Hans de Boer opvolgt namen 17 bedrijven en 26 personen deel. Deelnemende bedrijven waren: Bluestream Offshore; Cirmac International; Discom; Dhatec, Dynaflow Research Group; Fischcon, GSP Offshore; Iemants; Interdam; Intermarine; Inventheon; Multiplan International; Redwise Marine Services; Twentsche Kabelfabiek; Twinfilter; Van Dam en Wagenborg. Echter er waren zeker nog zo’n 10 bedrijven die ook met de missie hadden meegewild maar die om capaciteit redenen moesten worden geweigerd. Het programma van de missie bestond uit presentaties van Technip; Total, Eiffel, GDF Suez, Schlumberger en Doris Engineering. Bovendien was er een netwerk receptie georganiseerd waarvoor de Franse olie- en gasindustrie was uitgenodigd. De Nederlandse deelnemers in de missie hebben zich bovendien bij elk Frans bedrijf doormiddel van een één minuut presentaties en ondersteund door twee powerpoint slides kunnen presenteren. Reden om een missie naar Frankrijk te organiseren is met name de vooraanstaande internationale rol die de Franse olie- en gas industrie speelt. Franse bedrijven zijn betrokken bij vele projecten in landen als Angola, Australie, Brazilie, Nigeria, Rusland etc. Voorbeelden zijn het FLNG’s van Shell voor het Prelude project in West Australië, het Shtokman project in arctisch Rusland en de acht Presal PSO’s voor het Santos Basin project van Petrobras. Deze projecten zijn tijdens de presentaties van de Franse bedrijven uitvoerig toegelicht. De offshore projecten waar de Franse bedrijven bij betrokken zijn hebben veelal betrekking op drijvende offshore olie- en gas exploratie en productie zoals FLNG’s, FPSO’s en FDPSO’s maar ook subsea ontwikkelingen. Andere projecten waar Franse bedrijven betrokken zijn hebben betrekking: Arctic, LNG, teerzanden en duurzame energie. Hoewel de meeste deelnemers reeds contacten hadden bij de bezochte bedrijven en in veel gevallen al zaken deden werd de missie toch als zeer nuttig ervaren omdat veel informatie kon worden vergaard en bovendien veel nieuwe contacten konden worden gelegd.
