Voorwoord

Introduction

Sinds jaar en dag worden synthetische saffier nozzles in de hoge druk reiniging toegepast voor zowel de lagere drukken (rioolreiniging) als de ultra hoge drukken (tot 4000 bar).

For many years synthetic sapphire nozzles have been used in the high pressure jetting and sewer cleaning industries utilising pressures up to 4000 bar.

Saffieren, zijn ronde plaatjes met in het hart de gewenste nozzlediameter, worden één voor één in de gewenste nozzle houder inclusief lijm geperst, hierna wordt het geheel enige tijd in een oven geplaatst om extra klemkracht te verkrijgen door de verschillende uitzettingscoëfficiënten van de materialen. Saffier is in 3 kwaliteiten (al naar gelang de toepassing) te verkrijgen: 1>RX, standaard saffier, alleen te gebruiken met schoon water, geeft een gebonden straal. 2>A, saffier te gebruiken met schoon water in combinatie met een hard (abrasive) toevoegmiddel, geeft een "holle" straal waardoor het abrasive goed met het water vermengd wordt en men een constante snijkwaliteid krijgt. 3>PX, zelfde als type A, doch met een hollere conus. Voor toepassing waar Polymeer als toevoegmiddel wordt gebruikt Voor al de bovenstaande types raden wij u aan een filtratie systeem te gebruiken van 5µm (0,05 mm.), dit voor een verhoogde standtijd van zowel uw hoge druk installatie als van de saffier. De saffieren worden in een gewenste houder gedrukt vervaardigd van St.1.4112 of St.1.4305

Synthetic sapphires are manufactured as discs with a hole in the centre. The sapphire discs are pressed and glued into a stainless steel holder , the assembly is then heated to give high bonding power. Sapphires can be delivered in 3 qualities depending on the application. 1. Type RX Standard sapphire used in clean water applications giving a good cohesive jet. 2 Type A Sapphire used with abrasive - gives a hollow cone pattern which makes it easy to mix the abrasive and water which gives a better cutting result. 3 Type PX Same quality sapphire as type A but different shape for use when long chain polymers are added to the water for specialised cutting applications. Standard holders for the sapphires are made from stainless steel St1.4112 or St1.4305 The holes in the sapphire are laser drilled and are available in diameters from 0.10 mm When calculating sapphire sizes use an efficiency factor of + 0.60 For sapphire assemblies with an inlet cone use efficiency factor + 0.70

Aangezien de gaten in de saffierplaatjes worden gelaserd, zijn saffier nozzles te verkrijgen in kleine diameters vanaf 0,10 mm. Voor de berekening van een saffier nozzle moet men rekenen met een doorlaatcoëfficiënt van ± 0.6 Bij de types met inlaatconus kan dit enigszins meer bedragen tot een waarde van 0.7

Introduction

Saffieren worden voornamelijk toegepast bij: rioolbommen, roterende nozzles voor zowel oppervlakte - als bundelreiniging, snijden, betonrenovatie enz.

Sapphire jets can be used in sewer nozzles ; spinning nozzles for surface and bundle cleaning ; cutting of various materials and concrete renovation.

De afdichting tussen houder en saffier wordt meestal verkregen door een conusafdichting, hetzij met of zonder zitting, in de roterende pijpreinigings nozzles middels een combinatie tussen schroefdraad en lijmverbinding. Voor een perfecte afdichting tussen houder en nozzle raden wij u aan beide vlakken goed te reinigen met Loctite spray 7063, de nozzles die een lijmverbinding vereisen lijmen met Loctite 2701, alvorens deze te gebruiken de lijm minimaal 1 uur laten drogen, voor demontage gelijmde nozzles, deze verhitten tot lijm zacht wordt dan met passende sleutel demonteren.

For a perfect sealing between holder and nozzle we advise cleaning of both parts before fitting with Loctite Spray 7063 and then if threaded , assembly using Loctite 2701 glue. Drying time before use is about 1 hour. To demount glued sapphires the assembly should be heated with a gas pencil torch until the Loctite glue is soft. Then extract the nozzle with the correct tool.
