Introductie
In deze Players Guide tref je nuttige informatie aan over het ABN AMRO World Wheelchair Tennis Tournament 2011 (WWTT 2011). De derde editie van het Wheelchair Tournament gaat ook dit jaar weer bijdragen tot vergroting van de belangstelling voor rolstoel tennis op topniveau. De faciliteiten waar jullie gebruik van kunnen maken zijn dezelfde als beschikbaar zijn voor de spelers van het 38ste ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament. In deze Players Guide worden ze beschreven. Evenals vorig jaar staat het Organising Committee voor het WWTT 2011 tot jullie beschikking voor specifieke vragen tijdens je verblijf in Rotterdam. Jullie kunnen je wenden tot Esther Vergeer als Toernooidirecteur en ook tot Maarten Kuurman en Ronald Renirie (de telefoonnummers vind je op pagina 4 (Belangrijke telefoonnummers). Het toernooi zal gespeeld worden in overeenstemming met de reglementen uit het ITF Wheelchair Tennis Handbook. Wij wensen jullie een fantastisch toernooi en een plezierig verblijf hier in Rotterdam.
Introduction
In this Players Guide you will find useful information about the ABN AMRO World Wheelchair Tennis Tournament 2011 (WWTT 2011). The third edition of the Wheelchair Tournament will contribute to enlarge the interest in wheelchair tennis at top level. The facilities offered to you during the tournament will be the same as offered to the ATP players in the 38th ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament. They are described in this Players Guide. Like last year the Organising Committee is available for you during the tournament. You can refer to Esther Vergeer (Tournament Director) or Maarten Kuurman and Ronald Renirie for all your questions and specific needs. You will find the mobile telephone numbers on page 4 (Important telephone numbers). The tournament will be played in accordance with the rules of tennis as decribed in the ITF Wheelchair Tennis Handbook. We wish you every succes during this tournament and your stay in Rotterdam.

Volgens de richtlijnen van de International Tennis Federation is het prijzengeld voor de singles US$ 20.000 en voor de doubles US$ 4.000. De verdeling is als volgt:

Prize money
In compliance with ITF requirements the prize money for the singles will be US$ 20.000 and for the doubles US$ 4.000. The breakdown is as follows:

Immediately after the tournament the prize money will be transferred in euro’s to the bankaccount provided by the participant. 4
Spelers Restaurant
Gedurende het toernooi kun je gebruikmaken van het Players Restaurant op de eerste etage bereikbaar via de lift bij deur J (Spelersingang AHOY. Je kunt hier eten op vertoon van een bon, die je gratis krijgt bij de Players Desk; in de andere restaurants van AHOY moet direct worden afgerekend. Maaltijden en consumpties, die je in het Parkhotel gebruikt zijn voor eigen rekening en moeten worden afgerekend bij het uitchecken op de vertrekdag.
Players Restaurant
During the tournament players the Players Restaurant is available at the first floor using the elevator near door J at the players entrance. You need to obtain a voucher at the Players Desk on the ground floor (free of charge). In all other restaurants of Ahoy you will have to pay cash after your visit. Food and drinks ordered at the Parkhotel must be paid for by yourself when you check out.
Internet
Je kunt tijdens je verblijf in Ahoy gratis gebruik maken van het internet in de Players Lounge.
During your stay in Ahoy internet facilities are available in the Players Lounge.

Stringing service
Ook dit jaar is het Bilderberg Parkhotel, Westersingel 70, 3015 LB Rotterdam (010-4363611) weer het toernooi hotel voor het ABN AMRO World Wheelchair Tennis Tournament. Voor de spelers/coaches zijn kamers gereserveerd. De kosten van logies/ontbijt, parkeren, laundry service en telefoon zijn voor rekening van ABN AMRO. Alle overige kosten moeten door de deelnemers betaald worden bij het uitchecken. Het hotel beschikt over ruime kamers en is rolstoel toegankelijk. De receptie zal je graag helpen bij vragen en speciale wensen. Bij de receptie staat een bord met belangrijke informatie voor de spelers.
For the third year the Bilderberg Parkhotel, Westersingel 70, 3015 LB Rotterdam (0104363611) will welcome players/coaches of the Wheelchair Tournament. Rooms have been booked in advance for you. ABN AMRO will pay the costs of bed and breakfast, parking, laundry service and telephone. All other expenses must be paid for by you when checking out. The hotel offers spacious rooms and is accessable for wheelchairs. The reception desk will be available for any questions and specific needs. There will be a notice board for last minute information at the reception desk. De Technifibre Bespanservice is beschikbaar in de gang naar Hal 1 op de parterre. Je kunt hier op rekening van ABN AMRO je racket in topconditie laten brengen.
At Technifibre Stringing Service in the corridor towards Hal 1 on the ground Floor you can have your racket repaired. ABN AMRO will pay for the repair costs. 6
Medische hulp
Tijdens het toernooi zijn 3 toernooi artsen beschikbaar voor de spelers van het Wheelchair Toernooi. De behandelkamer van de artsen vind je in de doorgang tussen entreehal en het Sportpaleis op de begane grond (zie plattegrond). De artsen zijn: Babette Pluim, Simone van der Putten en Wart van Zoest. Aan de medische hulp zijn geen kosten verbonden.
Medical Care
Three tournament doctors will be available in their practice in the corridor from the entrance hall to the Sportpaleis (see map): Babette Pluim, Simone van der Putten and Wart van Zoest. Medical care is free of charge.
Fysiotherapie
Ook dit jaar weer is een drietal fysiotherapeuten beschikbaar voor gratis advies en het behandelen van eventuele blessures. De fysiotherapeuten hebben hun behandelruimte naast de dokterspost De fysiotherapeuten zijn: Sarah Scherer, Roy Diepstraten en Edwin Visser. Er zijn voor jou geen kosten verbonden aan hun behandelingen tijdens het Wheelchair Tournament.
Fysiotherapy
This year also you can consult fysiotherapists in case of any injuries free of charge. They are located next to the doctor’s practise and will help you free of charge. You can refer to Sarah Scherer, Roy Diepstraten or Edwin Visser.
Rolstoel reparatie
Bij baan 4 en 5 kun je terecht voor gratis reparaties aan je rolstoel, verzorgd door Emcart Sport.
Wheelchair repair
In Hall 1 near Court 4 and 5 Emcart Sport will be avalable for free of charge wheelchair repair. 7
Pendeldienst
Tijdens het toernooi wordt een shuttle service verzorgd door Mercedes-Benz tussen het Manhattan Hotel, het Parkhotel en AHOY heen en terug. Je kunt van te voren een rit naar AHOY boeken door via de Players Desk in AHOY of via de receptie in het Parkhotel. Doe dat zo ruim mogelijk voor gewenst vertrek en houdt rekening met een reistijd van ongeveer 30 minuten van en naar AHOY. De eerste rit van de hotels naar AHOY is om 08:00 uur in de ochtend. Boekingen voor de heenreis graag de avond tevoren bij de Players Desk; voor de terugreis: melden bij Players Desk.
Shuttle service
During the Tournament Opel will arrange a shuttle service between the Manhattan Hotel, the Parkhotel and AHOY in both directions. You can book a ride in advance to AHOY trough the Players Desk (see map) or at the reception desk in the Parkhotel. Please book at an early stage (e.g. in the evening for the next morning) and allow approx. 30 minutes for the trip both ways. The shuttle service starts at 08:00 hrs in the morning. Make your booking to AHOY for the next day at the Players Desk when you leave the day before; if you want to go back to the hotel: report to the Players Desk.
Flying home?
If you need transportation to an airport after the tournament please give flight details (airport, time of departure and flightnumber) to Ronald Renirie from the Organising Committee (+31 6 23361764) at least two days before you leave. In that case only a car will be ready for you to take you to the airport.

International Tennis Federation
Tijdens het toernooi is Ellen de Lange de vertegenwoordiger van de International Tennis Federation. Zoals in de introductie gesteld zal het ABN AMRO World Wheelchair Tennis Tournament gespeeld worden volgens de regels van de ITF, neergelegd in het ITF Wheelchair Tennis Handbook (beschikbaar in het Toernooikantoor in Hal 1 en uiteraard op internet via www.itftennis.com/wheelchair). Op de website van de ITF is tevens beschikbaar gekomen de brochure ‘2010 Tennis Anti-Doping Programme’, waarin de alle informatie en regels over dit onderwerp te vinden zijn.
During the Wheelchair Tournament the International Tennis Federation will be represented by Ellen de Lange. As stated in the Introduction the tournament will be played in accordance with the rules of tennis described in the Wheelchair Tennis Handbook 2010, a copy of which is available on the ITF website as well as at the Tournament Office in Hall 1. We also remind you that the recently published brochure ‘2010 Tennis Anti-Doping Programme’ with information and regulations regarding this issue is available on the website of the ITF (www.itftennis.com/wheelchair).

Pers/ interviews
Ook dit jaar zal de pers weer goed vertegenwoordigd zijn tijdens het ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament. Tijdens bijvoorbeeld de uitzendingen van Radio Rijnmond zal onze toernooidirecteur Esther Vergeer worden geïnterviewd. Zaterdag 12 februari zal RTL opnamen maken tijdens de finale enkelspel. De reportage hiervan zal worden uitgezonden op zondag 13 februari op RTL7 om 15.30 uur. Ook in de ABN AMRO Lounge zullen spelers hun verhaal doen bij de diverse bijeenkomsten, die daar gehouden worden. Wij stellen het op prijs, indien vanzelfsprekend ook de spelers van het ABN AMRO World Wheelchair Tennis Tournament beschikbaar zijn voor perscontacten en interviews in de ABN AMRO Lounge en bij andere gelegenheden. Esther Vergeer en Linda Laan zijn daarbij graag van dienst.
Press/ interviews
Several reporters will be present during the tournament. Esther Vergeer for instance will be interviewed by Radio Rijnmond at the temporary studio in Tennis Plaza. RTL will be present at the single final. The program featuring our tournament will be broadcasted Sunday 13th at 15.30 hrs on RTL7. Interviews will be held in the ABN AMRO Lounge during various parties. We kindly ask players of the ABN AMRO World Wheelchair Tennis Tournament to be available for short interviews during these and other occasions. Esther Vergeer and Linda Laan will be available to assist you.

Aantekeningen/ Notes
Het ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament zal met ingang van 2011 op klimaatneutrale wijze georganiseerd worden. Door middel van reductie en compensatie van CO2-uitstoot krijgt het toernooi een volledig groen karakter.
