primošten Primošten dates back to 15th century. Unique position and shape served its inhabitans as a natural protection from invaders. The name means “to bridge” because it was fortified island connected with a wooden bridge. Since 1960s it has developed as a tourist destination with hotels, marinas and camping sites. Along with tourism it is well known for its gourmet food, wineyards with local vine varietal Babich and fine extra virgin olive oil.

Villas are situated on a site with a gentle sloap to the west. Each villa is designed in traditional medditeranean style with L shaped planview. Special attention was given to a south-west orientation. Every area in the villa is designed to maximize the space usage and comfort. Traditional style makes them blend nicely with surroundings and gives them warm “natural” look. Construction is a combination between modern and traditional materials taking the best from both worlds: traditional look and high energy efficiency. The “build to last” philosophy is followed in every detail.

According to the architectural design interiors are designed with the same traditional-modern blend in mind. The goal was to achieve a plesant balance between freshness of modern simplicity and warm traditional look, to make exterior and interior work as one. Color range goes through the tones of natural stone and wood, with white, brushed steel high gloss polycarbonate and glass contrasting their warmth. The blue tone of windows and doors extends into the villa and can be found on interior doors, dividng screens and bathroom tiles - each villa with it’s own unique shade of blue.

Special attention was given to lighting. In order to get smooth indirect lighting the beams were used as a light source. This was achived as they are slightly offseted from the ceiling with integrated power-LED strips on the top. During the day they add to the traditional warm look and when the night falls they contribute to a modern functionality which refreshes the interior.
