1. Blaník - a guardian hill Unrepeatable colours of the Czech landscape with a mozaic of forests, meadows, fields, small ponds weaved with the river Blanice this is the Blanik`s landscape. It is our smallest conservation area. It lies in a hilly land in the Central Czech around the memorable hill fabled with the old Czech legends About sleeping knights of St. Wenceslas` army.
On the top of the Big Blanik there was a large Celtic hillfort after that reputedly a castle. Now we can find there a chapel and 32m high wooden lookout tower which symbolises a Hussite`s report.
In the ravine debris forests we can sometimes see also a martagon lily which is a plant protected by law.
Which author did like the landscape and wrote Old Czech legends? What is the name of the legend? Do you know any other authors who deal with the landscape or mention it in their works?
