First of all, the writer would like to say thanks to Allah SWT because of His mercy and bless, so that the writer could finish the final report entitled “Guiding The Tourists in a One-Day Musi Tour”. This final report is written to fulfill the requirement that must be taken in English Department, State Polytechnic of Sriwijaya. This report has been created since March until June 2015. At last, the writer believes that this report is far from being perfect, so the writer needs critic and suggestion from the readers to make it better. Finally, the writer hopes that this report can give advantages and usefulness for the students at State Polytechnic of Sriwijaya.

This final report is to fulfill requirement for Diploma III Majoring in English Department Study Program Tourism and Hotel Business State of Polytechnic of Sriwijaya Palembang. The writer realizes that in this final report there are so many mistakes and weaknesses. In this case, it is caused by lack of information, knowledge, and ability which writer has. So the writer need suggestion and advice to improve information, knowledge, and ability for the writer particularly with pleasant. The writer can finish this final report because of help from every aspect which can not be explained one by one directly and indirectly. ABSTRACT
Guiding The Tourists in a One-Day Musi Tour

Good performance assessment to guide influence quality when he/she was on duty and responsibility to tourists during the trip. However, based on the facts found by the writer through the pilot study, that there are some problems in the application of their duties in serving tourists, such as dividing less attention (in terms of health or comfort) for all tourists, and sometimes the travel does not commit their itinerary. So, the writer is interested in observing how the tour guide conducts his tour guide duties and whether the tour guide meet job description in conducting tour program or not. In this case the writer focus on Musi Tour in Palembang city. And the results found through the three data collection methods of observation, interview and questionnaire, found that only a few performance of the tour guide are not in accordance with the existing job description, such as the problem in guiding the tourists is that the guide was unable to extend his services to all the tourists, then the guide had a flat voice and others. From the twelve lists of job description that the writer develops from the existing theory, so it can be concluded that the performance of the guide fulfill most of the requirements from the job description.
ABSTRAK Membimbing Wisatawan dalam Satu Hari Musi Tour
(Dinda Gustia, 2015, 4 Gambar, 3 Tabel) Penilaian kinerja yang baik untuk memandu kualitas pengaruh ketika ia sedang bertugas dan bertanggung jawab untuk wisatawan selama perjalanan. Namun, berdasarkan fakta-fakta yang ditemukan oleh penulis melalui studi percontohan, bahwa ada beberapa masalah dalam penerapan tugasnya dalam melayani wisatawan, seperti kurang membagi perhatian (dalam hal kesehatan atau kenyamanan) untuk semua wisatawan, dan kadang-kadang perjalanan tidak sesuai dalam jadwal perjalanan yang mereka miliki. Jadi, Penulis tertarik untuk mengamati bagaimana Pemandu Wisata melakukan tugasnya dan apakah Pemandu Wisata mendeskripsikan jadwal perjalanan ketika bertemu dalam melakukan program wisata atau tidak. Dalam hal ini penulis fokus pada Musi Tour di kota Palembang. Dan hasil yang ditemukan melalui tiga metode yaitu pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara dan kuesioner, menemukan bahwa hanya ada beberapa kinerja pemandu wisata yang kurang sesuai dengan deskripsi pekerjaan yang ada, seperti masalah dalam membimbing para wisatawan, bahwa Pemandu Wisata ini dapat memperluas pelayanannya kepada semua wisatawan, memiliki suara yang datar dan lain-lain. Dari dua belas daftar deskripsi pekerjaan yang penulis kembangkan dari teori yang ada, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa kinerja Pemandu Wisata memenuhi sebagian persyaratan dari deskripsi pekerjaan yang ada.
