Deze handleiding bevat de installatie-, gebruikers- en onderhoudsinstructies voor de condensatiegroep RZMHA en wijst eveneens alle mogelijke risico's en gevaren aan. Deze handleiding laat bevoegde gebruikers toe om het toestel op een uiterst veilige & zeer gebruiksvriendelijke wijze te hanteren. Het is uitermate belangrijk om het volledige document zorgvuldig door te nemen en de nodige aandacht te schenken aan de secties aangeduid met

WAARSCHUWINGEN

De RZMHA toestellen werden ontworpen en gebouwd om een jarenlange betrouwbare werking te garanderen met behoud van maximale veiligheid. Hierdoor en mede door het gevoerde bedrijfsbeleid qua ontwerp en constructie kunnen wij u garanderen dat het toestel volledig overeenstemt met de EC veiligheidsrichtlijnen. Bovendien geven fabriekstesten waaraan elk toestel wordt onderworpen nog een bijkomende garantie. De gebruiker dient er zich dus enkel van te vergewissen dat het toestel op een correcte wijze wordt gebruikt en dat onderhoudswerken worden uitgevoerd conform de hier beschreven instructies. Lees deze handleiding aandachtig door alvorens met de installatie van het toestel te starten.

WARNINGS

The RZMHA units have been designed and built to ensure long-term operating reliability and maximum safety; for this reason and thanks to the company’s design and construction policy, the company is able to guarantee that this product totally complies with EC safety standards. A further guarantee of this is provided by the factory tests carried out on the unit. The user, therefore, must only ensure the unit is properly used and that maintenance operations are carried out according to the indications contained in this manual.

The unit should not be touched until the whole of this manual has been carefully read.

INTENDED USE

De luchtgekoelde RZMHA condensatietoestellen voor buitenopstelling koelen rechtstreeks (warmtepompinstallaties warmen op) één of meerdere binnentoestellen.

RZMHA aircooled condensing units for extern installation, directly cool (heat pumps uints warm up) one or more internal units.

TEGENINDICATIES

Gebruik geen ontvlambare producten in de nabijheid van het toestel.

Do not use inflammable products near the unit.

Zorg ervoor dat er in de nabijheid van het toestel geen bestanddelen aanwezig zijn die een explosief mengsel kunnen vormen.

Do not use substances that can form explosive mixtures near the unit.

Gebruik het toestel niet in omstandigheden die schadelijk zouden kunnen zijn voor het milieu (zie item 3.5 pag. 13).

Do not use the unit in conditions that could be harmful for the environment (see point 3.5 on page 13).

ALGEMENE BESCHRIJVING

Alle toestelconstructies zijn vervaardigd uit verzinkt plaatstaal en voorzien van polyester poedercoating. Het constructiewerk is vrijstaand en de panelen zijn op een eenvoudige wijze te verwijderen zodat toestel gemakkelijk te betreden is voor het uitvoeren van onderhoud- & herstellingswerken. De toepasselijke functieschema's en componenten worden met deze handleiding meegeleverd.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

All the unit structures are made from galvanised sheet metal and are further protected with polyester powder paints. The structure is free standing and the panels are easy to remove in order to allow access to the inside of the unit for maintenance and repair operations. The functional diagrams and the components used are attached to this manual.

- Dangerous areas: any area inside and/or near to the unit in which the presence of a person would give rise to a risk for that person’s health. - Exposed person: anyone who is wholly or partly inside a dangerous area. - Operator/Maintenance man: person or persons authorised to operate, adjust, service, repair or move the unit.

GENERAL SAFETY REGULATIONS

De toegang is voor onbevoegde personen ten stengste verboden.

It is forbidden for unauthorised persons to approach the unit.

Respecteer alle richtlijnen beschreven in § 9 (pag. 32) zorgvuldig op vooraleer onderhoudswerken uit te voeren.

Scrupulously observe the contents of Chapter 9 on page 30 before carrying out each maintenance operation on the unit.

Het is verboden om zich toegang te verschaffen tot het toestel. Toegang is enkel toegestaan aan bevoegde personen wanneer toestel uitgeschakeld is.

It is forbidden to enter the unit. Access is only permitted to qualified staff when the unit is disconnected.

3.5.1 Residu risico's in nabijheid van toestel

- Elektrocutie indien toestel foutief aangesloten is op aardingscircuit en hoofdvoeding. - Snij- of schaafwonden veroorzaakt door scherpe randen. - Afscheiding en verspreiding in de ruimte van stoffen, afkomstig van de installatie. - Het ejecteren van voorwerpen die terechtkomen op ventilatorschoepen. - Condens- & ijsvorming vooraan het toestel terwijl warmtepompen in werking zijn. - Wijziging microklimaat (gedurende werking). - Lawaai (gedurende werking). De geluidniveau's van elk toestel is terug te vinden in de technische handleiding. - Olielekkage (bij defect). - Lekkage koelmiddel (bij slechte werking). N.B. Koelvloeistof is een substantie die het broeikaseffect versterkt. De vrijgekomen dampen zijn zwaarden dan lucht en kan verstikking veroorzaken door vermindering van het zuurstofgehalte in de lucht. De snelle verdamping van vloeistof kan leiden tot bevriezing.

- Electrocution if the unit is not properly corrected to the mains power supply and earth circuit. - Cuts or abrasions caused by sharp surfaces. - Extraction and subsequent dispersion in the environment of substances present in the installation site. - Ejection of objects falling on the fan blades. - Formation of condensation and ice in front of the unit while the unit heat pumps are working. - Alteration of the micro climate (during operation). - Noise (during operation).The sound pressure levels of each unit are carried in technical manual. - Leaking oil (in case of malfunction). - Leaking refrigerant liquid (in case of malfunction). N.B. Refrigerant liquid is a substance which causes a greenhouse effect. Its vapours are heavier than air and can cause suffocation by reducing the amount of oxygen available for breathing. Rapid evaporation of the liquid can cause freezing to occur.

- Eerste-hulp maatregelen: Algemene informatie: Dien niets toe aan personen die bewusteloos zijn Inademing: Getroffene terstond uit de gevaarlijke omgeving halen. Zonodig zuurstof toedienen of kunstmatige ademhaling toepassen. Geen adrenaline of vergelijkbare producten toedienen. Oogcontact: Gedurende tenminste 15 minuten zorgvuldig spoelen met water en arts raadplegen. Huidcontact: Met veel water afspoelen en onmiddellijk alle verontreinigde kledij uittrekken.

- First aid measures: General information: Do not give anything to people who have fainted. Inhalation: take the person out into the open air. Use oxygen or artificial respiration if necessary. Do not give adrenaline or similar substances. Contact with eyes: carefully rinse with abundant water for at least 15 minutes and see a doctor. Contact with the skin: Wash with abundant water and remove all contaminated clothing immediately.

Vooraleer een buitenpaneel te verwijderen, met uitzondering van het afschermpaneel aan elektrische kast (gemakkelijk herkenbaar aan ventilatiegleuven), moet u ervoor zorgen dat netvoeding naar toestel uitgeschakeld is. Bepaalde onderdelen binnenin het toestel kunnen warm (leidingwerk, compressor, etc), koud (compressor, etc) scherp (lamellen) of bewegend (ventilator) zijn, zelfs wanneer toestel buiten werking is - wees daarom steeds behoedzaam. Before removing an outer panel, except for the one protecting the electrical panel (easy to recognise due to its ventilation slits), the unit must be disconnected from the mains power supply.

Please note that some surfaces inside the unit may be hot (piping, compressor, etc.), cold (compressor, suction separator, etc.), sharp (coil fins) or moving (fans) even when the unit is not working.

Given that various kinds of packing materials are used (wood, polyethylene(PE), polystyrene, cardboard, etc.), they should be separated and delivered to specialised disposal and recycling companies for environmental reasons.

CHOOSING THE INSTALLATION SITE

Bij het kiezen van de opstellingsruimte dienen volgende punten in overweging te worden genomen: - Het gewicht van het toestel: Het steunvlak onder het toestel moet waterpas worden geïnstalleerd en moet voldoende degelijk zijn om het bedrijfsgewicht te dragen. Een steunvlak met geschikte grootte dient te worden voorzien. Dit is uitermate belangrijk indien toestel wordt gemonteerd op een onstabiele ondergrond (tuinen, opgehoogde terreinen, etc.). Het steunvlak moet: • rusten op geschikte funderingen en zich ongeveer 10 à 15 cm hoger bevinden dan de omliggende grond; • horizontaal liggen en geschikt zijn om tenminste 200% van het bedrijfsgewicht te dragen. Een geschikte isolatielaag uit kurk moet langsheen de omtrek worden voorzien. - Nodige ruimte: Zorg ervoor dat er voldoende vrije ruimte is rondom het toestel (zoals aangeduid op schaaltekening). Het niet respecteren van de vereiste vrije ruimte zal het uitvoeren van onderhoudswerken hinderen of onmogelijk maken.Bovendien zal een reductie van het luchtdebiet aan de condensor de goede werking van het toestel in het gedrang brengen. Hou er rekening mee dat obstakels (e.g. : luifel, afdak, afscherming, ...) meestal niet worden toegelaten. Hou er rekening mee dat de toestellen ijs en condensatie kunnen vormen wat resulteert in het lozen van water op de vloer aan de voorzijde van het toestel. Om te vermijden dat de vloer glibberig wordt, dient het water te worden opgevangen en afgevoerd. Enkel geautoriseerde technici & bedieners hebben toegang tot de installatieplaats. - Geluid: Gedurende de werking ontwikkelt het toestel geluid; plaats het toestel niet in weergalmende ruimtes. Zorg bij het plaatsen van het toestel dat condensorzijde gericht is naar richting waar lawaai minder stoort. - Heersende wind: Wind kan de bedrijfsomstandigheden wijzigen; om de invloed ervan tot een minimum te beperken, dient de lange zijde van het toestel parallel met de richting van de heersende wind te worden geplaatst. - Trillingen: Alhoewel het trillingsniveau van het toestel laag ligt, wordt het toch aangeraden om een laag hardrubber te voorzien tussen steunvlak en chassis toestel. Indien nodig ,maak gebruik van trillingsdempende steunen.

When choosing the installation site the following points should be considered: - The weight of the unit: The supporting surface under the unit must be perfectly horizontal and able to withstand its operating weight. A supporting surface with an appropriate area should be built. This is particularly important if the unit is installed on unstable ground (gardens, embankments, etc.). The supporting surface must: • lie on suitable foundations and be about 10-15 cm higher than the surrounding ground; • be horizontal and able to withstand about 200% of the weight of the unit in operation. A suitable sealed layer of cork should be placed along the perimeter. Spaces: Make sure that sufficient free space, as indicated on the technical book, is left around the unit. Less space will make it difficult or impossible to carry out maintenance operations and/or lead to faults in the unit due to the reduction in the air flow on the condenser coil or its recirculation. Please note that obstacles such as canopies, shelters or coverings in general are not permitted. Please note that the units can cause ice and condensation to form and drain onto the floor in front of the unit. This water must therefore be collected and drained to prevent the floor from becoming slippery.

People may not enter the unit area unless they are authorised operators and maintenance personnel. - Noise: The unit generates noise while it’s working; do not install it in reverberating rooms. The unit must be positioned with the coil side facing the direction where noise is less critical. - Prevailing winds: Wind may alter operating conditions; to minimise its effects the unit should be positioned with the long side parallel to the direction of prevailing winds. - Vibrations: Although the units transmit a low level of vibrations to the ground, a sheet of rigid rubber should always be placed between the unit base and the supporting surface. If greater insulation is required, vibration moisting supports should be used (in rubber or with springs).

ELEKTRISCHE AANSLUITINGEN

5.2.1 Algemeen Elektrische aansluitingen mogen enkel worden uitgevoerd door gekwalificeerde vaklui. Vooraleer te starten met werken aan elektrische onderdelen dient u zich ervan te vergewissen dat voedingslijn naar toestel afgeschakeld is. Controleer dat de elektrische specificaties in overeenstemming zijn met de gegevens op de kenplaat van het toestel (spanning, frequentie, aantal fasen). Het gebruik van een driepolige kabel met aarding is verplicht. Vergewis u ervan dat alle elektrische aansluitingen in overeenstemming zijn met het bijhorend bedradingsschema. Aardingsaansluiting is wettelijk verplicht. De aardingskabel moet worden verbonden met de aardklem in de schakelkast en voorzien van PE-merk. Hulpcircuits worden gevoed mbv de voedingslijn via een transformator die zich bevindt in de schakelkast. Doorsnede kabel & lijnbeschermers moeten overeenstemmen met de gegevens vermeld op het bedradingsschema en op het toepasselijke formulier dat bevestigd is aan het toestel. Respecteer fasevolgorde zoniet zal toestel niet werken. Schommelingen aan ingangsspanning mogen niet meer dan ±5% bedragen. Het verschil tussen ongelijk belaste fasen moet steeds kleiner zijn dan 2%. Het niet respecteren van bovenvermelde waarden zal het recht op garantie doen vervallen.

5.2.2 Externe sturing Indien een afstandsbesturing AAN/UIT vereist is, voer dan de nodige aansluitingen uit zoals aangeduid op het bedradingsschema. Voor de elektrische aansluiting via afstandsbediening naar het aan/uit contact en naar de chiller warmtepompwerking, is het niet toegelaten om aandrijfkabels en voedingskabels in een gemeenschappelijke koker te monteren. Indien dit niet mogelijk is, maak dan gebruik van een afgeschermde kabel. Bij het uitvoeren van de aansluitingen beschreven in paragraaf 5.2.2 dient u alle instructies vermeld op het bedradingschema nauwkeuring op te volgen. De doorsnede van de aansluitkabels moet minimum 1,5 mm² bedragen.

5.2

ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS

5.2.1 General These operations may only be carried out by specialised staff. Before carrying out any operations on electrical components, make sure the unit is disconnected from the mains power supply. Make sure that the mains power supply corresponds to the rated values of the unit shown on the plate (voltage, number of phases, frequency). The unit must be connected with a three-pole cable plus earth. Electrical connections must be made carefully following the instructions shown on the wiring diagram attached to the unit. The earth connection is obligatory by law. The earth cable must be connected to the earth bar located in the electrical panel and marked with PE. Auxiliary circuit power is supplied by the power line by means of a transformer located in the electrical panel. The cross-section of the cable and the line protections must comply with the indications shown on the wiring diagram and in the relative sheet attached to the unit.

Observe the phase sequence, otherwise the unit will not work. Input voltage must not exceed variations of over ±5% and phase unbalance must always be less than 2%.

Unit operation must always take place within the above values as otherwise the guarantee will immediately become null and void.

5.2.2 External signals If a remote ON-OFF command is required, connect the external enable to the contacts shown on the wiring diagram. For the electrical connection to the remote On-off contact and remote Chiller heat pump operation, do not install drive cables inside the ducts used for power cables; if it is not possible, a shielded cable must be used.

When making the connections described in paragraph 5.2.2, carefully follow the indications shown in the wiring diagram. The connecting cables must have a minimum cross-section of 1,5 mm².

Indien spanning onderhevig is aan frequente schommelingen, is het raadzaam ons advies in te winnen betreffende geschikte beveiligingsapparatuur. - Vergewis u ervan dat manometer (indien geïnstalleerd) juiste druk weergeeft. De manometer kan worden voorzien van afsluitventielen. Deze mogen enkel indien nodig geopend worden en worden na inspectie terug afgesloten. - Controleer koelvloeistof op lekken. Maak gebruik van lektester. - Vergewis u ervan dat carterverwarming (indien geïnstalleerd) correct wordt bekrachtigd.

- Make sure that the electrical connections have been made correctly and that all the terminals have been well tightened. - Verify the deep closing of the fuses-holder cover - Use a tester to make sure that the voltage on terminals L , L , L , is equal to that shown on the rating plate (permitted tolerance ±5%). If voltage is subject to frequent variations, please contact our technical office in order to decide on suitable protection devices. - Make sure that the pressure gauges (when fitted) show the correct pressure. The pressure gauges can be fitted with shut-off valves. These must only be opened when necessary and closed again after inspection. - Use a leak tester, if necessary to make sure there are no leaks of refrigerant liquid. - Check that the heating elements of the sump (if fitted) are correctly powered. 1

INBEDRIJFSTELLING

The heating elements must be turned on at least 12 hours before start up; this takes place automatically when the main power switch is closed (position I).

To check if the heating elements work correctly, make sure that the lower part of the compressor is 10÷15°C higher than room temperature. Attention! Before starting up the unit, make sure that all the external panels are in place and fixed with screws.

START UP

Selecteer werkcyclus (verwarming of koeling). Bij microprocessor gestuurde toestellen kunt u met de pijltoetsen navigeren naar het menu "Selecteer modus" en selecteer vervolgens "zomer" (koeling) of "winter" (verwarming).

Select the operating cycle (heating or cooling). For microprocessor controlled units, use the arrow keys to move to the: “Mode select” menu and select “summer” (cooling) or “winter” (heating).

N.B.: deze handeling is enkel noodzakelijk bij de uitvoeringen met warmtepomp.

N.B.: this operation is only required for the versions with heat pump.

Aandacht : het wijzigen van de werkcyclus dient te gebeuren op seizoenbasis. Het veelvuldig wijzigen tussen winter- & zomermodus moet vermeden worden omdat dit kan leiden tot slechte werking en beschadiging van de compressoren.

Attention! The operating cycle should be changed on a seasonal basis. Frequent changes between summer and winter modes should be avoided as they can cause the compressors to work badly and consequently damage them.

RZMHA/K 162-604 Om het toestel op te starten, dient u op de AANschakelaar,die zich bevindt op het deksel van de microprocessor, te drukken (indicaties tussen haakjes verwijzen naar installaties met warmtepompen werkzaam in de ververwarmingscyclus). Besturing De condensatietoestellen worden mbv een externe thermostaat, met trapsgewijze besturing of via een 0÷10 Vdc signaal, ingesteld. Klemmen voor externe contacten bevinden zich op klemmenbord "X2" van de schakelkast. De controle van het toestel wordt uitgevoerd mbv een elektronische regelaar : deze bevat een interne kaart voor de digitale ingangen en een externe display waarop mbv LED de werking van het toestel wordt weergegeven (geblokkeerd of in werking). N.B. : Niet alle ventilaten mogen in gang worden gebracht van de toestellen uitgerust met condenscontrole waarbij opstarten gebeurt bij een externe luchttemperatuur lager dan 15°C. Indien toestel weigert te ontsteken, raadpleeg dan hoofdstuk 9, deel 1.

Start the unit by pressing the “ON” switch located on the microprocessor cover and make sure the following happens (indications between brackets refer to units with heat pumps working in the heating cycle mode). Regulation The condensing units are adjusted through a step-regulated external thermostat, or through a 0÷10 Vdc signal. Clamps for external contacts are situated on the terminal board "X2" of the electrical box. The control of the unit has beendone by an electronic regulator, that includes an internal card for the digital imputs and an exteral display, that points out through LED the status of the machine (block or working). N.B. : not all the fans may start up in the units fitted with condensation control devices that started when the external air temperature was lower than 15°C. If the unit doesn’t start, please consult chapter 9, part one.

Voor korte stilstandperiodes dient de stroomtoevoer niet te worden uitgeschakeld. Volg stipt alle richtlijnen op van paragraaf 7 voor het uitschakelen van het toestel gedurende een korte periode. Enkel bij langdurige stilstand (e.g. seizoenuitschakeling) moet stroomtoevoer worden uitgeschakeld.

CONTROLES BIJ WERKING TOESTEL

6.3.1 Algemeen - Controleer toestel op vreemd lawaai en externe trillingen. - Controleer dat bovenvermelde sequentie regelmatig wordt herhaald waarbij elke compressor gedurende tenminste 10 minuten werkzaam is (indien dit niet het geval is, dan dient toestelinertie te worden verhoogd). - Controleer na een aantal bedrijfsuren dat vochtigheidsen vloeistofindicator aantonen dat leidingensysteem watervrij is . - Vergewis u ervan dat er geen bellen worden gevorm binnenin de vloeistofmeter. De vorming van bellen wijst op een tekort aan koelvloeistof in het leidingensysteem (de aanwezigheid van enkele bellen is wel aanvaardbaar). - Bij het aanvangen van de zomercyclus dient u, enkele minuten nadat compressoren starten, te controleren dat condensatietemperatuur 18 ± 4K hoger is dan de luchttemperatuur bij de ingang van de condensor (afhankelijk grootte koelmachine, soort koelgas en kamertemperatuur) en dat verdampingstemperatuur ±5K lager ligt dan de watertemperatuur aan uitgang verdamper.

The power supply must not be switched off while the unit is stopped. Power should only be switched off for prolonged pauses (e.g. seasonal shut downs). To shut down the unit for short periods, please carefully follow the instructions shown in paragraph 7.

6.3

CHECKS DURING UNIT OPERATION

6.3.1 General - Check the unit for strange sounds or excessive vibrations. - Check that the above sequence is repeated regularly, leaving each compressor working for at least 10 minutes (if this is not the case, unit inertia must be increases). - After a few operating hours, check that the crown of the liquid and moisture indicator shows a dry circuit. - Make sure there are no bubbles inside the liquid indicator. Bubbles indicate there is not enough refrigerant liquid in the circuit (though a few bubbles are accepted). - A few minutes after the compressors start during the summer operating cycle, make sure the condensation temperature is 18 ± 4K higher than the temperature of the air entering the condenser (depending on the size of the chiller, the kind of refrigerant gas used and the room temperature) and that the evaporating temperature is about 5K less than the temperature of the water leaving the evaporator.

Bepaal dit via het meten van de temperatuur mbv een contactthermometer geplaatst op de zuigbuis van de compressor en het aflezen van de waarde op de drukmeter die eveneens aangesloten is op de zuigleiding. Het verschil tussen beide bepaalt de oververhittingswaarden.

- Make sure that the overheating temperature of the refrigerant lies between 5 and 7K. Do this by measuring the temperature with a contact thermometer placed on the suction pipe of the compressor and that indicated on a pressure gauge connected to the suction line as well: the difference between the two gives the values of overheating.

- Controleer dat onderkoelingstemperatuur van koelvloeistof schommelt tussen 4 en 8K. Ga dit na via het meten van de temperatuur mbv een contactthermometer geplaatst op de zuigbuis van de compressor en het aflezen van de waarde op de drukmeter die eveneens aangesloten is op de zuigleiding. Het verschil tussen beide bepaalt de onderkoelingswaarden.

- Make sure that the subcooling temperature of the refrigerant fluid lies between 4 and 8K. Do this by measuring the temperature with a contact thermometer placed on the suction pipe of the compressor and that indicated on a pressure gauge connected to the suction line as well: the difference between the two gives the values of subcooling.

Bij het uitvoeren van bovenvermelde controles kan gebruik worden gemaakt van de meegeleverde drukmeters (indien geïnstalleerd). Vergeet in dit geval niet om de afsluitkleppen te sluiten na het uitvoeren van de metingen. 6.3.2

Ontdooifunctie (Enkel warmtepomptoestellen)

Bij werking in wintercyclus (warmtepomp) fungeert de warmtewisselaar als verdamper, waarbij de buitenlucht zowel gekoeld als ontvochtigd wordt. Afhankelijk van de temperatuur en vochtigheid van de buitenlucht zal er zich condensatie of ijs vormen. De accumulatie van ijs aan de warmtewisselaar belemmert de luchttoevoer en leidt tot verlaging van het luchtdebiet en afname van de warmteoverdrachtsnelheid. De warmtepomptoestellen zijn voorzien van regelapparatuur die automatisch de warmewisselaar laat ontdooien indien nodig. De regelapparatuur wordt aangestuurd door een temperatuursonde op de warmtewisselaar. Indien de gemeten temperatuur lager ligt dan de instelwaarde wordt de ontdooifunctie geactiveerd indien een bepaalde periode is verstreken sedert het laatste ontdooiproces. Het ontdooiproces verloopt als volgt - ventilatoren komen tot stilstand; - via de 4-wegklep wordt de werkingsfunctie omgekeerd waarbij de lbatterij fungeert als condensor. De condensatiewarmte laat het ijs smelten dat vervolgens afvloeit naar de bodem. Na het bereiken van de einde-cyclus-druk krijgen we opnieuw een omschakeling van de 4-wegklep en wordt de wintercyclus vervolgd. 6.3.2 Defrosting (Only heat pump units) During operation in the winter cycle (heat pump), the coil works as an evaporator, cooling and dehumidifying the external air. Depending on the temperature and moisture of the external air, condensation or frost will form. The frost accumulated on the coil obstructs the air inlet thereby reducing air flow and the heat transfer rate. The heat pump units are fitted with control devices that automatically defrost the coil whenever necessary. This control device features a temperature probe placed on the coil which activates the defrost cycle function which will take place only if a certain time (default setting: 30 minutes) has elapsed since the last defrosting process.

Defrosting takes place as follows: - the fans stop; - the operating cycle is inverted with the 4-way valve, thereby making the finned coil work like a condenser. The condensation heat causes the frost to melt and drain to the ground. When the end-of-cycle pressure is reached, the 4-way valve is inverted once more and the winter operating cycle continues. Defrosting lasts from about 1 to a maximum of 5 minutes when it is interrupted even if the end-of-cycle pressure set-point has not been reached.

Start and stop the unit with the ON/OFF button located on the microprocessor cover. The compressors and fans will automatically start and stop depending on the temperature of the water returning from the unit while the circulation pump will remain working continuously. If a fault should occur, the unit will totally or partially block and will give an alarm signal; the microprocessor display will indicate which safety device was activated. Before resetting the unit, the reasons for the block must be identified and eliminated. Some safety devices must be reset both physically and from the keyboard.

SEASONAL SHUT DOWN

If the unit is planned to be shut down for a long time and the unit is required to be disconnected from the mains supply, the minimum temperature to which the unit may be subjected must be identified. It this is lower than the freezing point of the fluid contained in the exchangers, these must be drained, unless there are suited autifreeze kits.

The unit should be controlled periodically to make sure it works correctly. The controls that should be made on a monthly and four-monthly basis are described below. Furthermore, if the unit is not expected to be used for a long period, and if the room temperatures are lower than the fluid freezing point, the fluid should be drained from the piping and the heat exchangers.

If the filters are very clogged, use a jet of water instead. - Check that the unit doesn’t make any unusual noises. - Make sure the possible antifreeze kit works correctly

Pas na het opsporen en het herstellen van het lek mag er koelvloeistof worden bijgevuld. Toestellen gevuld met het koelmiddel R407C en R410A mogen slechts tweemaal worden bijgevuld. Hierna is men verplicht de koelleiding volledig te lozen en te vullen met nieuw koelmiddel.
