We zijn er nog niet!
Next generation sequencing platforms: wat wordt er nu geimplementeerd binnen de oncologie? Pro: snel, weinig input (20ng DNA), commercieel verkrijgbaar panel (AmpliSeq®), kosten effectief, goed gevalideerd. Con: technische moeilijkheden met bepaalde stukken DNA (homopolymers/ indels), PCR-based (relatief moeilijk aan te passen panels), niet FDA approved
Pro: snel, goed gevalideerd: voor diagnostiek cystic fibrosis FDA approved, technisch zeer solide, in theorie goed aan te passen panels (niet noodzakelijkerwijs PCR gebaseerd). Con: Nog geen commercieel verkrijgbaar panel, meer input DNA nodig.

Conclusies • De tumor genetica en de zeker de correlatie van tumorgenetica met respons zijn nog niet afgerond: er is nog veel data nodig • Met de huidige gegevens en technieken kunnen we wel starten met de eerste stappen richting genetische stratificatie voor behandeling • Juiste stratificatie kan voor sommige patiënten al een enorme stap vooruit betekenen
