köszöntő Különleges négy napra hívjuk a barokk mesterek, a csembaló, a ritka zenei élmények és a fiatal muzsikusok iránt érdeklődő közönséget. A 17-18. századi zeneművek minden muzsikus repertoárjának alapját jelentik; s miután e gazdag zenei örökség nagy része a barokk kor egyik fő billentyűs hangszerére, a csembalóra született - muzsikustársaim, tanítványaim s jómagam is úgy gondoltuk, rendezzünk egy csembaló-ünnepet. Egy olyan fesztivált, ahol minden kedves hangszerünkről szól: mutassunk be nagyhírű külföldi és magyar művészeket, régi és új hangszereket, adjunk alkalmat a fiataloknak kurzusokon, előadásokon, műhelyeken való továbbképzésre, de ők maguk is szerepeljenek különféle műfajokban és stílusokban. Legyünk együtt több napig, cseréljünk tapasztalatot, kottát, ötleteket, szövődjenek barátságok és további szép tervek! Jöjjön el Ön is a Csembalófesztivál és Találkozó eseményeire, ismerje meg elmúlt századok gyönyörű hangszerét, a „fenséges” csembalót, nagy mesterek örök-értékű műveit, a fellépő rangos művészeket, és a jövő csembalista generációját! A rendezvényt lelkesedéssel felkaroló intézmények segítőkész munkatársainak, és nagylelkű támogatóinak ezúton mondok köszönetet! Szeretettel és várakozással: Horváth Anikó, a Cembalissimo 2008 művészeti vezetője
„Minden jót kívánok csodálatos kezdeményezésüknek és megvalósulásának! Ha ilyenekről hallok, boldog vagyok és bizakodó!” "I wish all the best for your wonderful ideas and their realization! When I hear of events of this kind, I feel happy and hopeful." Nikolaus Harnoncourt
greeting We are inviting everyone who is interested in baroque music, the harpsichord, rare musical experiences, and in young musicians, for four special days. Works by masters of the 17th and 18th centuries constitute the basis of the repertoire for all musicians; and because the greatest part of this rich musical inheritance was conceived for one of the most important keyboard instruments of the baroque age, the harpsichord, my musician-friends, students and myself have been dreaming about a harpsichord-feast. A festival, that celebrates every aspect of our beautiful instrument. Our idea is to enjoy concerts by famous interpreters from Hungary and abroad, to have the chance to get familiar with old and new instruments, to give opportunities for young harpsichordists to take part in mastercourses, lectures, workshops, and to present themselves in various capacities of their art. By spending these days together we hope to establish new acquaintances, strengthen friendships, exchange experiences and scores, as well as inspire new plans and initiatives. You are very welcome to the programs of the Harpsichord Festival and Meeting, an opportunity to become familiar with the beautiful instrument, the „majestic” harpsichord of past centuries, the immortal works of great masters, the famous performers of our time as well as the future generation of harpsichordists. I thank the enthusiastic co-workers of the organizing institutions, and also our generous sponsors for their help! I am looking forward to meeting you at the Festival. Anikó Horváth, artistic director of Cembalissimo 2008

Several teachers from the Tihamér Vujicsics Music School in Szentendre has already aspired to introduce an authentic baroque style in the 80’s. Some of their students graduated later with a degree in harpsichord: Adél Erényi, Linda Dobay, Katalin Kovács (their teachers were: Ágnes Z. Lakos and Annamária Richter). With the leading role of Angelika Csizmadia a course in harpsichord began at the end of the 90’s. On this course – which is unique in Hungary - the musical conception and performance of those pianists, who are responsive to the instrument and the style, have been significantly improved. One of the first students was Aino Oláh, who appears frequently as a harpsichord soloist these days, and, at the same time, she is a teacher at the Music School too. Nóra Nagy and Helga Váradi have continued their studies in Vienna while András Szántó is a student at the Béla Bartók Conservatory in Budapest. The course’s aims are to deepen pedagogical and musical work and to popularize the harpsichord widely. 11
