APPENDIX 1 - RATGEVALLEN
Behorende bij: Ratgevallen, door Sigrid van Dort, www.ratgevallen.nl, isbn 978-94-6190-265-8 Om het boek niet duurder te maken en omdat de informatie in deze appendix additioneel en openbaar is, hieronder de literatuurlijst die geraadpleegd is omtrent narcisme en interpersoonlijke relaties. Ratgevallen heeft geen enkele wetenschappelijke waarde of onderbouwing want het bestaat uit persoonlijke ervaringen en meningen. Hieronder in alfabetische volgorde op auteursnaam, wat interessant was om als referentiekader te dienen. De lettercode ervoor geeft aan waarover de publicatie grofweg gaat. De afkorting vs betekent versus, omdat het hier gaat om onderzoeken over gemiddelden. Je moet weten wat gemiddeld is om vast te kunnen stellen dat rattigheid niet gangbaar of gemiddeld is. Ik noem in het boek vaak ‘normale mensen zoals wij’, dat zijn dus gemiddelde mensen zoals uit onderzoeken naar voren komt en hoe er gemiddeld gereageerd en ervaren wordt. Wat hieronder staat is voldoende om de onderzoeken met google te vinden. Niet alle onderzoeken zijn gratis te downloaden. Hoe wetenschappelijke onderzoeken te lezen voor leken? Ga er vanuit dat recente onderzoeken oudere bestrijden, zeker m.b.t. definities, die zijn gebaseerd op oudere onderzoeken en moeten dan nauwer gedefinieerd worden omdat er weer iets nieuws bij is gekomen. De oude onderzoeken kunnen gevonden worden bij de referenties van de nieuwere. Het verdient aanbeveling bij de meest recente te beginnen en achteruit te lezen in de tijd. Dan weer terug naar voren en zo kan gefilterd worden wat is blijven staan en wat vernieuwd is. Dit verklaart ook de uiteenlopende publicatiedata. Bijvoorbeeld het idee dat een narcist een miezerig onzeker persoontje is, is op de schop gegaan en er worden nu twee soorten narcisme onderscheiden. Zo zijn er meer nieuwe inzichten die de standaardlijstjes over narcisme, die iedereen van elkaar overschrijft, tot achterhaald maken. Nog een opmerking: voor huisratten volstaat de NPI (40, NORM = doorsnee bevolking) als indicatie voor de mate van narcistische persoonlijkheidskenmerken. Er bestaan ook een 21 en 29 vragen versie op vier van de uitgesplitste onderdelen. Verdere detaillering schiet hier z’n doel voorbij. In Ratgevallen gaat het om huisratten, niet om gediagnosticeerde narcisten met de narcistische persoonlijkheidsstoornis (NPS of in het Engels NPD). Voor die volbloed überratten (6,2% tegen >35% ‘gewone’ narcisten) wordt gebruik gemaakt van een ander meetinstrument, dat niet voorkomt in Ratgevallen: de Shedler-Westen Assessment Procedure-II (SWAP-II; 3, 4, 12-14) of een recentere versie als die er is. Nogmaals: ratten in Ratgevallen hebben géén narcistische persoonlijkheidsstoornis (NPS), wat reeds is uitgelegd aan het begin van Ratgevallen.
