9. Pihak KNRP (National Committee for People of Plastine) yang selama ini telah bekerja dengan konsisten dalam upaya-upaya menggalang dukungan mengenai perjuangan bangsa Palestina disarankan untuk memperluas basis dukungan dari kalangan organisasi-organisasi khususnya organisasi Islam dan tokoh-tokoh masyarakat Indonesia lainnya, agar kegiatannya dapat lebih efektif dan meluas ke segenap kalangan masyarakat Indonesia. Cooperation between Palestinian and Israeli NGOs needed to be expanded; - Continued NGO solidarity with the Palestinian people was needed in seeking their political rights; - NGOs needed to lobby their Governments to pressure Israel to fully implement the Declaration of Principles, and they also needed to lobby the Government of Israel; - Next year's United Nations-NGO meeting should be held in Gaza; - Israeli NGOs should increase their efforts to pressure their own Government to fully implement the Oslo Agreement, including cessation of Israel's policies of settlement expansion, land confiscation and closures of Jerusalem. A meeting will be organized with Palestinian and Israeli NGOs to discuss: cooperative efforts in the political sphere in order to support the establishment of East Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine, with West Jerusalem as the capital of Israel; the evacuation of settlements; solution of the refugee problem on the basis of United Nations resolutions; and the full implementation of the Oslo Agreements and Security Council resolutions 242 (1967) and 338 (1973).
The Action Plan adopted by the conference underscores the role played by the United States in Israel’s continuing oppression of Palestinians. “If this subjugation and oppression has lasted so long, if Israel has been able to violate international law with impunity, it is largely because Israel is protected by the United States of America, the world’s only superpower.” The statement then points to the important role played by US civil society as a “site for strategic intervention in the quest for a just solution to the conflict.” The new Center hopes to: foster new civil societies in the “South,” cooperate with existing youth and women’s groups to forge closer ties with the Palestinians and their cause, and encourage closer ties and interaction between these civil societies and both US and Israeli civil societies work closely with existing UN committees focusing on Palestinian rights and strengthen the UN to ensure that it remains an impartial force, not subservient to US wishes disseminate accurate information to the worldwide mass media, especially in the US, on the root causes of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict
