• Test items are the units that make up a test and the means through which samples of test takers’ behavior are gathered.
• Item analysis is a general term that refers to all the techniques used to assess the characteristics of test items and evaluate their quality during the process of test development and test construction.
2
Tahapan Analisis Item • Penulisan item • Qualitative Analysis • Revisi Item • Try-out • Analisis Quantitative • Menambah, mengurangi, dan memodifikasi item • Cross validation Æ menguji alat ukur terhadap kelompok yang lain • Menentukan ‘bagaimana’ administrasi tes • Administrasi tes pada partisipan baru • Publikasi alat tes
3
Penulisan Item pada Alat Ukur Psikologis
Syarat-syarat Penulisan Item 1.
5
Item Format
Item Format • Open-ended Response • Closed-ended Response atau Selected-response items atau objective/fixed-response items Dichotomous format; The Polytomous Format; Likert format (skala sikap); Category format; Checklists and Q-Sorts 7
Item Format 1.
9
Item Format 2. The Polytomous Format
10
Item Format 3. Likert format (skala sikap) Biasa digunakan untuk mengukur ‘tingkat’ kesepakatan partisipan terhadap pernyataan Æ tiap item disediakan pilihan jawaban berupa skala sikap Contoh 5 pilihan: Sangat Setuju, Setuju, Netral, Tidak Setuju, Sangat Tidak Setuju Contoh 6 pilihan: Sangat Setuju, Setuju, Agak Setuju, Agak Tidak Setuju, Tidak Setuju, Sangat Tidak Setuju

Format Item 4. category format

Format Item 5. Checklists and Q-Sorts

Metode Analisis Item Kuantitatif
Metode Kuantitatif dalam Analisis Item 1. Item difficulty 2. Item discriminant 3. Item reliability index 4. Item validity index 5. Guessing 6. Item Fairness 7. Item speeded test 15
Metode Analisis Item Kualitatif
Analisis Item Kualitatif Î rely on the judgments of reviewers concerning: the substantive and stylistic characteristics of items as well as their accuracy and fairness Î criteria: a) Appropriateness of item content and format to the purpose of the test and the populations for whom the test is designed, b) Clarity of expression, c) Grammatical correctness, and d) Adherence to some basic rules for writing items that have evolved over time.
17
Metode Analisis Item Kuantitatif: Item Difficulty
Item Difficulty Æ Seberapa sulit suatu item dalam alat tes Æ Beberapa hal yang harus diperhatikan Item Difficulty Levels, Test Difficulty Levels, and Test Purpose Æ most tests, items in the difficulty range of 0.30 to 0.70 y t l u c i f f i d m e t i m u m i t p o

Metode Analisis Item: Item discriminant
Item Discriminant Æ item discriminability determines whether the people who have done well on particular items have also done well on the whole test Item Distractor The extreme group method The Point Biserial Method Item characteristic Curve Item Response Theory External Criteria

Item Discriminant: Item Characteristic Curve
28
Item Discriminant: Item Response Theory (IRT) Æ each item on a test has its own item characteristic curve Æ describes the probability of getting each particular item right or wrong given the ability level of each test taker. With the computer, items can be sampled, and the specific range of items where the test taker begins to have difficulty can be identified 29
