PROGRAM PASCA SARJANA KEKHUSUSAN FAKULTASKEDOKTERAN UNIVERSiTAS INDONESIA
GIZI KOMUNITAS
1. Pendahuluan SEAMEO-TROPMED Regional Center for Community Nutrition (Pusat Studi Kajian Gizi Komunitas) merupakan salah satu unit satuan kerja di bawah wewenang Departemen Pendidikan Nasional Indonesia, yang berlokasi di Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Indonesia, Jakarta Pusat. Insititusi ini mempunyai staff akademik yang terlibat dalam kegiatan pengajaran, penelitian dan konsultansi. Selain itu, untuk selalu mengembangkan keilmuan gizi komunitas/masyarakat terbaru, kami juga mengundang beberapa dosen atau konsultan baik dalam dan luar negeri (regional dan internasional) Peserta Program Pasca Sarjana Kekhususan Ilmu Gizi Komunitas FK UI yang dinyatakan lulus berhak menyandang gelar Magister Ilmu Gizi (M.Gizi) atau Doktor Ilmu Gizi (Dr) dalam bahasa Indonesia dan Master of Science in Community Nutrition (MSc) atau Doctor of Science (dalam bahasa Inggris). Gelar diberikan oleh Fakultas Kedokteran Indonesia Universitas Indonesia. Sejak tahun 1991 sampai 2009 telah meluluskan 132 orang pasca sarjana. Lulusan SEAMEO TROPMED Regional Center for Community Nutrition dapat bekerja sebagai konsultan kesehatan di LSM Internasional dan Internasional dan institusi lainnya yang berkaitan dengan gizi komunitas secara umum.
2. Visi dan Misi Visi Menjadi program pendidikan dan penelitian pasca sarjana berkualitas internasional yang menyiapkan lulusannya untuk mengemban kepemimpinan dalam bidang gizi komunitas, untuk memperkuat kesepahaman dan kerjasama regional guna mendukung terwujudnya kesejahteraan masyarakat Asia Tenggara. Misi Melaksanakan program pendidikan pasca sarjana dalam bidang gizi komunitas yang berkualitas internasional yang mendukung visi program. 3. Landasan Hukum 1. Keputusan Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Republik Indonesia Nomor 028/1067 tentang Penunjukan Fakultas Kedokteran Indonesia sebagai National Tropical Center untuk Indonesia. 2. Keputusan Direktur Jendral Pendidikan Tinggi Departemen Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Republik Indonesia Nomor 577/DIKTI/Kep/1993 tentang Pengesahan Penyelenggaraan Program Studi Magister dan Doktor di Universitas indonesia. 3. Keputusan Rektor Universitas Indonesia Nomor 022/SKJR/UI/2000 tentang Pengalihan Program Magister dan Doktor Program Studi Epidemiologi (S2 dan S3) dari Program Pascasarjana ke Fakultas Kesehatan Masyarakat, serta Program Magister dan Doktor Program Studi IImu Gizi (S2 dan S3) dari Program Pascasarjana ke Fakultas Kedokteran di Lingkungan Universitas Indonesia
4. Tujuan Pendidikan 4.1. Tujuan Umum Menghasilkan lulusan pasca sarjana bidang gizi komunitas yang memiliki integritas tinggi, serta rnampu menelaah, merumuskan masalah gizi dan rnerekornendaslkan proqrarn dan kebijakan gizi sesuai dengan kebutuhan masyarakat dan perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan. 4.2. Tujuan Khusus 'I. Menyediakan sarana dan prasarana pendidikan, penelitian, dan pelayanan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan dan pendidikan pasca sarjana yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan Nasional, Regional dan Internasional dalam Bidang IImu Gizi-Kekhususan Gizi Komunitas. 2. Membantu pengembangan kurikulum pendidikan pasca sarjana bidang gizi yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan masyarakat pada tingkat Nasional, Regional maupun Internasional. 3. Berpartisipasi dalam pengembangan IImu Gizi dengan membantu kegiatan pendidikan, pelatihan dan penelitian yang dilaksanakan oleh institusi lain di dalam dan di luar negeri (Regional dan Internasional). 4. Mengembangkan dan meningkatkan kerja sam a ilmiah di Bidang Ilmu Gizi-Kekhususan Gizi Komunitas dengan Institusi terkait, baik di dalam maupun di luar negeri (Regional dan Internasional).
5. Kompetensi Lulusan 5.1. Kompetensi lulusan Program Magister Kekhususan Gizi Komunitas adalah: 1. Mengerti dan menguasai ilmu gizi komunitas yang didasari bukti-bukti ilmiah. 2. Mampu mengetahui/mengidentifikasi kondisi/masalah/kebutuhan gizi yang ada di masyarakat, mengetahui faktor-faktor penyebabnya, serta mengetahui cara yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengatasi keadaan tersebut 3. Dapat mengatur atau mengelola suatu penelitian/intervensi/program gizi, termasuk penulisan laporan, pelaksanaan penelitian/intervensi/program tersebut, menganalisa dan menginterpretasikan hasil yang diperoleh secara tepat, menarik kesimpulan serta memberikan rekomendasi. 4. Mampu mengkomunikasikan/menyampaikan hasil penelitian/intervensi program, baik dalam bentuk tertulis maupun lisan, kepada berbagai pihak terkait. 5.2. Kompetensi lulusan Program Doktor Kekhususan Gizi Komunitas adalah: 1.Mengidentifikasi, merumuskan dan menentukan prioritas dengan cara penalaran ilmiah: a. Masalah-masalah gizi di tingkat individu dan masyarakat b. Etiologi/penyebab masalah gizi di tingkat individu dan masyarakat (biologi, budaya, ekologi, dan ekonomi) c. Efek fisiologis, psikologis, sosial dan budaya yang potensial dari masalahmasalah gizi di tingkat individu dan masyarakat (janqka pendek dan jangka panjang). 2. Merencanakan, melakukan koordinasi, memantau dan mengevaluasi program intervensi gizi pada masyarakat, bekerja sama dengan berbagai disiplin ilmu dan Institusi lain, khususnya yang terkait. 3. Memberikan rekomendasi kebijakan-kebijakan gizi untuk memecahkan masalah-masalah gizi, baik dalam Bidang IImu Pengetahuan, kemasyarakatan, ekonomi maupun sosial budaya. 4. Mencetuskan gagasan penelitian gizi, merencanakan, mengelola koordinasi, memantau dan mengevaluasi) suatu kegiatan penelitian gizi, bekerja sama dengan berbagai disiplin i1mu dan Institusi lain yang terkait dengan Bidang IImu Gizi - Kekhususan Gizi Komunitas.

5. Merencanakan, rnerumuskan, membina dan mengelola suatu Program Pendidikan/pelatihan di Bidang llmu Gizi - Kekhususan Gizi Komunitas. 6. Mengembangkan penarnpilan pro.esionalisme, bersikap terbuka dan tanggap terhadap perubahan dan kemajuan Iptek, khususnya yang berkaitan dengan Bidang Ilmu Gizi _ Kekhususan Gizi Komunitas. 6. Penerimaan Mahasiswa Program Pasca Sarjana Kekhususan llmu Gizi Komunitas terbuka untuk para professional yang berasal dari universitas, institusi/organisasi pemerintah, organisasi non-pemerintah, maupun perorangan. Calon peserta program dapat berasal dari dalam maupun luar negeri. Penerimaan mahasiswa pad a Program Pasca Sarjana Kekhususan Gizi Komunitas dilakukan dalam dua gelombang (Gelombang I Bulan Januari sId Maret 2010 dan Geiombang II bulan Mei-Juni 2010).
6.1. Cara pendaftaran Seleksi administrasi I: 1. Melakukan pendaftaran secara online di website UI www.penerimaan.ui.ac.id 2. Mengikuti ujian tertulis yang dikoordinir oleh panitia mahasiswa baru UI. Untuk tahun akademik 2010/2011, materi ujian adalah Tes Potensi Akademik dan Bahasa Inggris. Jika lulus, calon peserta wajib melakukan seleksi admisnistrasi II (1 minggu setelah pengumuman kelulusan): 1. Calon peserta wajib melengkapi persyaratan administrasi berupa dokumen yang diserahkan ke panitia penerimaan mahasiswa baru UI 2. Calon peserta menyerahkan tambahan dokumen yang dibutuhkan ke Program Studi Kekhususan Gizi Komunitas SEAMEO-TROPMED RCCN UI yakni: • Sertifikat TOEFL (minimum 500) • Daftar Riwayat Hidup (CV) • Ijazah dan Transkrip nilai yang sudah dilegalisir • Dua surat rekomendasi dari atasan/supervisor sebelumnya dan/atau pembimbing akademik Foto copy kartu identitas (KTP/SIM) • Surat pernyataan sing kat mengenai alasan tertarik pad a program studi kekhususan Gizi Komunitas SEAMEO-TROPMED RCCN UI • Photo terbaru ukuran 3x4 dan 4x6 berwarna 2 buah • Menyerahkan pra usulan penelitian sing kat (bagi calon peserta program Doktor) 3. Mengikuti tes aptitude dan wawancara yang dilakukan di Kekhususan Gizi Komunitas SEAMEO-TROPMED RCCN UI (jadwal ditentukan kemudian).

Program Announcement
Excellence in Nutrition for Quality Human Resources
E
very year, SEAMEO-TROPMED RCCN UI offers several short courses on specific community nutrition topics, which are integrated with the Master Program in Community Nutrition. Trainings on specific nutrition and health related topics tailoring the needs of the inviting institutions - such as international NGOs, government agencies, universities, and food industries -are also provided by the RCCN. Some topics include tropical disease and nutrition related issues, monitoring of nutritional status, nutrition surveillance, up-date on basic nutrition, SPSS for analyzing nutrition and health data, food and nutrition security, data collection and quality control of dietary assessment, and others.
Certificate and Transfer Credit At the end of the course, the Center award Certificate of Attendance for the participants. Credit for the short courses can be transferred to obtain Master Degree in Community Nutrition Medical Faculty University of Indonesia, organized by SEAME0- TROPMED RCCN.

Program Activities The program starts annually in August. It takes 4 semesters, covering 42 credits. Training is given in English and implemented in block system. The first year covers 17 courses (total 34 credits), while the second year is devoted for research thesis including thesis seminars (total 8 credits). Participants will attend lectures, discussion sessions, seminars, group work, laboratory work, and field study, which provide motivating learning environment.

Program Activities The main focus of work will be the elaboration of original scientific research. The Doctoral Program requires 6 semesters with 48-50 credits to complete. As required by the academic requirements of the University of Indonesia the participant has to attend the general and basic subjects. The general lectures are coordinated by the Faculty of Medicine given in the first semester, whereas the basic subjects are coordinated by the SEAMEO TROPMED RCCN - UI as block courses. During the first semester general subjects (Philosophy of Science, Scientific Methodology, Advanced Research Methodology, Statistics 1&11) will be given for all doctorate program participants in health subjects. These courses are organized by UI in Bahasa Indonesia and comprise 10 credits. For foreign students who can not follow lectures in Bahasa Indonesia, (s)he will be given personal sessions with the lecturers/course coordinators to discuss about the course topics and assignments (in English). Basic and specific topics in nutrition which are organized by SEAMEO-RCCN can be taken during the same or after the first semester. Basic subjects consist of four obligatory courses (8 credits) and additional 1-2 courses (2-4 credits). The choice of these additional courses can be adjusted to the need and research topic for dissertation, and doctorate participants will be advised by the Academic Advisor and/or Head Unit of Doctorate Program at SEAMEO-RCCN.
