DTCO® Release 2.0 / 2.0a in connection with ADR vehicles ®
At DTCO from Release 2.0 a „new“ HW-Concept will be used based on the changed legal requirements (IMS)! The CAN interface is also at KL 15 („ignition off”) „active“ at this devices. ® This condition requires a special attention in connection with retrofit/exchange of ADR vehicles with DTCO from Release 2.x! The guidelines to be observed for installation in ADR vehicles, please take out from the specific chapter of the technical description. The zone classification according IEC-Norm 60079, part 14 must be observed! To cover these requirements towards the tachograph system in connection with IMS, several HW concepts has ® been realised at DTCO from Release 2.0: 1381.4x xx xx xx xx ® DTCO 24 V (ADR); CAN1 also possible in Zone 1 (outside cabin) and Zone 2. At this HW configuration the switch on/off will be controlled by status entry (D3) of the CAN-Transceiver. The signal for D3 will be taken from continuous positive directly after the battery cut switch!

1381.2x xx xx xx xx ® DTCO 24 V (ADR); CAN1 only in Zone 2 (inside cabin) At this HW configuration CAN1 / CAN2 remains always „active“ (KL30).
Please take into account, that only a very few amount of all available commercial vehicles in the field are ADR vehicles.
At vehicles which need to have IMS (from DTCO® Release 2.0) it must be taken into account, that in case of service always the same version has to be chosen. 1381.a bc d e f g hij k

At vehicles which mustn’t have IMS (DTCO® Release 1.4 and older) it must be taken into account, that in case of service the version has to be chosen as listed below. 1381.a bc d e f g hij k

To guarantee that it is a ADR vehicle the check certificate regarding §6 GGVS or from 2007 the „certificate of approval for vehicles carrying certain dangerous goods“ has to be used for classification. This document must be taken with each ADR vehicle! Picture: Certificate German
