COURSE DESCRIPTION This course describes uniqueness of Islamic political thought compare to Western political thought. This course identifies establishment process of Islamic political thought and delivers messages and moral values of it. However, as a lot of Islamic political thinkers exist throughout the line of
history, so that this course provides only strategic Islamic political thoughts that have huge implication to Moslem society globally. Students, then, are invited to understand and analyze some Islamic political thoughts that are invented by prominent Islamic scholars (`Ulama) in the early period of Islamic civilization as well as contemporary.
COURSE GOAL Students are able to understand and explain normative and operative basis of Islamic political thoughts as well as able to compare and corroborate its difference to pattern and conducts of Western political thoughts.
