YouReCa - Young Researchers’ Careers YouReCa supports the career development of young researchers at KU Leuven What does this mean? YouReCa organizes o Training and education in non-academic, general skills and discipline-related, thematic topics, o Career guidance and development for the improvement of career prospects, e.g. Career Center o Strengthening the international orientation of researchers’ careers, e.g. JuMo All PhD students, postdocs and assistant professors can participate in YouReCa activities and initiatives

YouReCa – Training and education Training and education in transferable and thematic skills: • Increasing the existing offer of transferable skills courses, as well as developing new trainings; • Development of several high-level summer schools, some in co-operation with other Flemish universities and renowned research centres; • High level technical courses – ‘hands-on’ • Seminars and PhD symposia, offering young researchers the opportunity to present their work and get in contact with international experts.

YouReCa – Career development YouReCa Career Centre for young researchers providing insights on careers inside and outside academia: • General career guidance by organizing career events and job fairs; • Individual, personalized career guidance; • Improve and increase the (practical) support for incoming and outgoing researchers.

YouReCa – Grassroots initiatives (Financial) support for initiatives organized by young researchers for young researchers.
