ABSTRACT
This final project Developing a Guidebook of Cirebon, West Java, Indonesia. There are many tourist attractions in Cirebon which have good potential; however, there are only some books which tell completely information about them. By developing a guidebook of Cirebon, it will promote Cirebon to people, especially foreigners to visit Cirebon. The product also becomes guidance for travelling in Cirebon. In developing this product, there are two kinds of writing styles that are used in developing the guidebook of Cirebon. There are persuasive writing style and descriptive writing style. The purpose of writing persuasive language is to attract the readers. In addition, descriptive writing style is also important in writing the articles. It will let the readers know about the topics which are explained. The data are collected by using three methods, there are observation, Interview and literature study. The result of the project is Cirebon will have a guidebook which promote and inform about the tourist attractions in Cirebon. The book includes information of heritance, recreation places, culinary, gifts, Cirebon’s arts, public services, transportations, Cirebon’s event and vocabulary of Cirebon language. The size of the book is 20 x 10 and it has 34 pages which is printed in glossy paper. Key word: guidebook, promotes, heritance, Cirebon’s event, Cirebon’s arts.
