1. SIMPLE FUTURE a. The simple future tense indicates action to take place in future time. We shall go to San Fransisco tomorrow. They will go to the reception if they can get a ride. b. The simple future may also be expressed by the phrase going to (plus the simple form of the principal verb), preceded by the correct form of the verb be. The Brown family is going to go to Canada next summer. Kenneth and John are going to study for the zoology examination. I am going to read that book next week. He was going to attend college when his father died. 2. CONTINUOUS FUTURE The continuous future tense is not used very much, but it may be employed to express Future action with emphasis on the process of the action. We shall be seeing you from time to time. They will be going over their lecture notes when we arrive. 3. PERFECT FUTURE The future perfect tense indicates future action which occurs before a certain other action Or time in the future. John will have finished reading that by six o’clock this afternoon. Before we end the conference tomorrow, we shall have discussed the most important issues. 4.- Besides simple futurity, the FUTURE TENSE is used to express (a) promise: I will always love you; I will never break this promise; (b) determination: We will never give up our freedom; We will die for our religion; ( c) inevitability: The twentieth century will come to an end; Spring will bring new life; and (d) prediction: It will rain tomorrow; Everyone in the class will speak English well. 5.- The FUTURE CONTINUOUS TENSE is used (a) to emphasize an event at one point in future time: I’ll be seeing you at the beginning of the game; Our plane will be taking off in a few minutes; and (b) to emphasize the duration of an event in future time: He will be thinking about only his girlfriend until she returns; I will be working all day long. Bahasa Inggris 2013 6.- Like the past continuous tense, the future continuous tense is used in complex sentences where the future continuous time (in a main clause) is interrupted by a definite future action (in a subordinate clause): It will probably be raining when we get to the beach; I will be waiting for you at the airport when your plane comes in.

Translation Kakakku, Bill mempunyai sebuah mobil, yaitu sebuah Ford biru. Mobil itu selalu rusak bilamana ia mempunyai janji penting. Pagi tadi ia ingin pergi ke stasiun untuk menjemput istrinya tetapi ia tak bisa berangkat karena mobilnya baru rusak. Sabuk kipas anginnya rusak dan kakakku tak bisa menggantinya sendiri. DESIGN
Design is concerned with the graphic presentation of the information contained in the map. The function of design is to communicate this information effectively to the user; therefore it has to take into account all the conditions which affect this process; user requirement, the anticipated level of understanding, the circumstances of use, the complexity of the information, the technical possibilities and their cost, and so on. In this respect, design is the point where all the factors are brought together, and therefore it is the critical part of the cartographer’s work. It is not simply a single operation which takes palce between compilation or the assembly of data, and the technical execution of the map. Design operates at two levels. In the first place there are many general considerations which affect the appearance of the map and the way the content is presented. In the second place there are the detailed decisions about the individual symbols which express the information between the two, it is possible to examine them separately in principle. The general circumstances in which decisions about basic design are taken will vary with the circumstances of the whole ma production. Although these conditions may differ considerably, it is possible to identify three main situations. In the production of topographic maps and nautical and aeronautical charts, the major decisions about the graphic appearance of the map in relation to its content and use should come about in response to discussions between the survey organization, the authority requiring the map and thereby representing the user, and the cartographic organization. Given a certain availability of technical facilities, and a cost level, it is impossible to reach general decisions about content without also taking into account the extent to which this can be expressed graphically. The preliminary work for maps of this kind should therefore involve a consideration of both content and possible manner of representation. It is the function of the cartographer to demonstrate the graphic consequences of decisions about content.
