Wat?
•
Met de studie- en ontmoetingsdag willen we de aandacht vestigen op de situatie van holebi-asielzoekers in België, meer bepaald diegenen afkomstig uit (subsaharaans) Afrika. We geven informatie over het leven van holebi’s in Afrika en over de asielprocedure in België. Verder laten we Afrikaanse holebi’s zelf aan het woord. De studie- en ontmoetingsdag wil houvast bieden aan mensen die professioneel of privé betrokken zijn bij Afrikaanse holebivluchtelingen met of zonder papieren.

Voor wie?
•
We mikken op medewerkers van asiel- en opvangcentra en lokale opvanginitiatieven, medewerkers van OCMW’s, maatschappelijk assistenten en anderen die professioneel werken rond (Afrikaanse) holebivluchte lingen. Tot het doelpubliek behoren ook vrijwilligers die werken met vluchtelingen (met of zonder papieren), medewerkers en vrijwilligers van roze huizen, leden van holebiverenigingen, mensenrechtenactivisten en andere geïnteresseerden.

DEELNAME Deelnemen aan de studie- en ontmoetingsdag kost € 10 per persoon (te betalen ter plaatse). Voor holebi-asielzoekers en holebi’s zonder papieren is de deelname kosteloos. Wie geen € 10 kan betalen, kan vrijstelling vragen via het e-mailadres
[email protected] De organisatoren voorzien een broodjesmaaltijd voor alle aanwezigen. Inschrijven is verplicht voor wie deelneemt aan de maaltijd. Vluchtelingen met of zonder papieren die hun treinticket voorleggen, krijgen het ticket terugbetaald.

Die tram stopt in de straat van HVV (Lange Leemstraat), de halte heet ‘HEMEL’. Antwerpen Centraal Antwerpen premetrostation Diamant, tram 2 richting Hoboken – tot Antwerpen Belgiëlei , halte ‘Lange Leemstraat’ - wandel naar Lange Leemstraat.

Quoi?

Par cette journée d’études et de rencontre nous voulons attirer l’attention sur la situation des LGBT qui demandent l’asile en Belgique, notamment ceux et celles qui proviennent de l’Afrique (subsaharienne). Nous donnons des informations sur la vie des personnes LGBT en Afrique et sur la procédure d’asile en Belgique. En plus, nous donnons la parole aux LGBT africains eux-mêmes. Cette journée d’études et de rencontre est organisée également pour soutenir les personnes qui s’engagent pour les réfugiés africains LGBT, avec ou sans papiers (et cela dans un cadre professionnel ou à titre privé). Attention: la plupart des interlocuteurs parleront en néerlandais, certains utiliseront le français ou l’anglais. Vous pourrez poser vos questions en français ou en anglais.

Collaborateurs des centres d’asile et d’accueil, collaborateurs des CPAS, assistants sociaux et autres qui travaillent avec des réfugiés LGBT (africains). Egalement des bénévoles qui travaillent avec des réfugiés (avec ou sans papiers), collaborateurs et bénévoles des “maisons roses”, membres de groupes LGBT, militants des droits de l’homme et autres personnes intéressées.

What?
is meant to give insights and to exchange on the topic. We want to draw attention to the situ•ationThisofday LGBT people who are asking for asylum in Belgium, especially those who come from countries in
(sub-Saharan) Africa. We want to give information about the life of LGBT people in Africa and the asylum procedure in Belgium. We also want to enable LGBT Africans to express themselves. By organizing this day we also want to support people who commit themselves to the cause of African LGBT refugees, with our without documents (and this in their professional or private life). Notice: most participants in the programme will speak Dutch, some will use French or English. You will be able to ask your questions in English or in French.

For whom?

Employees of asylum centres, employees of OCMW services, social assistants and others who are working with (African) LGBT refugees. Also volunteers who are working with refugees (with or without documents), employees and volunteers of “Pink Houses”, members of LGBT groups, human rights activists and all others who show an interest in this topic.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE 10 euros per person (to be paid on the spot). Asylum seekers and people without documents (LGBT) can participate for free. Those who are unable to pay 10 euros, can ask if they can participate without paying by writing to
[email protected] The organizers will provide lunch (sandwiches) for all participants. Registration is obligatory for those who participate at the lunch. For refugees with or without documents, the train ticket can be reimbursed, if they show their ticket on the spot.
