[email protected] 0479 530 602 Trained in theatre with a university degree in performing arts, Mariane Cosserat started her career as actress & theatre director. In parallel to the coordination of international organisations in the contemporary performing arts and the management of the art residence house Les Bains::Connective in Brussels, she works with artists to develop their scene project. Her interest focuses more and more on the relations between visual and performing arts and the role of the spectator. Her present visual projects are based on the collective oral memory. From recorded interviews of inhabitants and workers from the same street, from photos taken behind their street windows of their house, flats and shops, there is a blueprint of the street to compose, to rebuild it visually with the streetscape, to expose the "intimate negatives", And beyond this glance, to share the life of this street through the inhabitants & the workers' interviews. “Empreinte:Afdruk/Indruk” takes the shape of a visual and sound installation, mobile and suspended, individual and collective.
Her next project “[blauwd{ru}k” a visual and sound installation is selected to be realised for the 2005 edition of NeonNord, Brussels. # Christelle Fillod ('1974, France) lives in Antwerpen artist/performer After getting a degree at the Beaux Arts National de Lyon and later being invited to Le Fresnoy, studio national des arts contemporains, Christelle Fillod travel abroad to experience and develop different ways of working in the field of Arts, especially in crossing different disciplines, questioning and orientating a reflection on perception. This research leads to the conception of a game diffused in a wild way (MORP1994… with Florence Menini), to a virus spread over the New York cable (CLAIMS1995), to curating show (BATHROOM SHOW1996), to an ongoing and mutant form (SURVIVAL1996…), to freighter trip opening up the space of collaboration within site specific performance (GREAT LAND1997, 17 WAYS1999 [video], SHIP BUILDING IN A KLEINBOTTLE1999/2000 with Christine De Smedt and Gary Hill), to the space of books (THE COIL OF A SNAKE2001 [artist book], TCAG2002), to spontaneous action (FULLMOON 1999), to an extensive poster diffusion on an international biennial (TCAG2002), to installation questioning our experience of perception (KINO1994, THE PERFECT STORM2000, A SPLIT INNER THE SURFACE|a study2003), to performance exploring the specificity of a given place (RESISTANCE DE L'AIR2000, CREAMTOP/LANDSCAPE2000 with Vanessa Briggs), to dance performance (SPLAYED MIND OUT1997/1998 by Meg Stuart and Gary Hill), to the participation on different collaborative project with other artist that place their work at the core of crossdisciplinary project (ORPHEUS IN THE DARK2002 with Sachiyo Takahashi, EDGES'2001/2002 with UFAC, …). Her work is the emerging experience on a research about perception: On how a specific reality is given to our senses, on how do we travel through the layer of the senses, on how to perceive outside of a predetermined culture, on how to move the point of assembly, on how to expand the world from within. _______________________________________________________________ # Anja Kowalski Vorstsesteenweg ,287 1190 Brussel 02/5388910 0496/708832

His origins do not lie among art school students, but in industrial design. In a way that was utterly unplanned, he ended up designing for dance productions and subsequently concentrated increasingly on installations that put the visitor /participant´s sensory experience to the test. Part of Malstaf´s project consists of the attempt to make the visitor an essential physical part of what is going on, so that thought and interpretation only come from outside and some time later. Works as independent installation artist and collaborated with various performers experimenting with prepared bodies and improvisation projects. Worked with various choreographers Meg Stuart (Insert Skin, They Live in our breath, Crash Landings, US/B) Benoit Lachambre (The Water Fait Mal, Ca) Daniel Ashwanden (Daily Secrets, Ö), Kirsten Delholm (Hotel Pro Forma, Dk), Andrew Harwood (Ahha Productions, Ca) Cofounder of Les Bains Connective: network of different artists and organisations with an ex bathhouse in Brussels as meeting point and laboratory for sound, movement, visual arts, architecture, science, botany etc. www.bains.be.
