Abstrak Data mining merupakan kumpulan analisa data-data yang melewati proses pengintegrasian data-data penjualan yang digunakan sebagai informasi dalam pengambilan keputusan pihak eksekutif perusahaan. Data-data ini menjadi informasi yang sangat penting untuk menghadapi persaingan pasar bisnis yang kompetitif. Tujuan penulisan ini adalah untuk menganalisis dan merancang aplikasi yang dijadikan dasar untuk membangun sistem data mining penjualan pada PT. Patcy Mentari yang dapat meningkatkan akses informasi secara cepat dan mudah, serta mempermudah dalam pengambilan keputusan. Metode penulisan yang digunakan adalah metode analisis dengan teknik fact-finding, metode perancangan piranti lunak dengan teknik Linier Sequential Model, metode perancangan data warehouse dengan teknik Nine-Step Methodology (dikarenakan pada saat sistem dibangun, sistem data warehouse belum tersedia), dan metode perancangan data mining dengan teknik Clustering. Data mining ini dibangun dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak Visual Basic 6 sebagai front-end dan Microsoft SQL Server 2000 sebagai database engine. Implementasi data mining yang diterapkan pada PT. Patcy Mentari merupakan alat bantu bagi pihak manajemen dalam proses pengambilan keputusan dari data yang tersedia dalam database sistem yang telah berjalan. Hasil ini dapat disimpulkan dari evaluasi perubahan sistem dimana aplikasi data mining dapat membantu dalam mengakses data dan menyajikan informasi yang berguna bagi pihak manajemen. Sebagai bahan dalam penulisan skripsi ini penulis memilih judul “Analisis dan Perancangan Data Mining Penjualan pada PT. Patcy Mentari“. Topik dan subtopik yang diangkat didalam skripsi ini hanyalah berkisar pada beberapa hal yang relevan dan menarik untuk dibicarakan. Pembahasan yang dilakukan lebih bersifat teoritis, umum namun praktis dari berbagai sumber.
