Sinds 1942 De Walraven Group is voortgekomen uit Metaalwarenfabriek J. van Walraven B.V., een familiebedrijf dat in 1942 in Mijdrecht (NL) is opgericht. Oprichter Jan van Walraven, grootvader van de huidige algemeen directeur, was oorspronkelijk loodgieter. Door een gebrek aan pijpbeugels in de jaren na de 2e Wereldoorlog, zag hij zich gedwongen om zelf zijn beugels te gaan maken. Vandaag de dag is het kleine familiebedrijf uitgegroeid tot een internationale onderneming met eigen productie- en verkoopvestigingen in diverse landen. In de Walraven Group zijn ruim 600 medewerkers actief met de ontwikkeling, fabricage en verkoop van innovatieve bevestigings-, brandbeschermings- en sanitairsystemen.

Since 1942 The Walraven Group originated from Metalwork company, J. van Walraven B.V., a family business which was established in 1942 in Mijdrecht (NL). Jan van Walraven, the founder and grandfather of the current group managing director, was originally a plumber. Due to a shortage of pipe fittings in the years after World War II, he was forced to make his own fittings. Today, the small family enterprise has developed into an international company with its own production and sales companies in various countries. The Walraven Group has over 600 employees, they are responsible for the development, production and sales of innovative fixing, fire protection and sanitary systems.

Safe Connection Walraven is one of the founding members of the ‘Gütegemeinschaft Rohrbefestigung’ (Safe Connection). This association, consisting of the most important producers of pipe fixing systems, has established clear guidelines and testing procedures. This makes it easier to compare the technical properties, such as the maximum permissible load, of pipe fixing products. The ‘Gütegemeinschaft Rohrbefestigung’ was acknowledged in 2003 by RAL, the German institute for quality care.

BIS Brandbeschermingssystemen Dit systeem bestaat uit oplossingen voor passieve brandbescherming van werktuigbouwkundige en elektrotechnische installaties. Bijna al onze stempels en matrijzen worden in de eigen gereedschapsmakerij gemaakt. Hierdoor heeft Walraven het gehele proces van productontwikkeling tot fabricage geheel in eigen hand en kan snel en adequaat ingespeeld worden op ontwikkelingen in de markt.

Innovation and quality Innovation The development of new products is always our priority. With our primary focus being on customer satisfaction. Think of comfort, time-saving during assembly and the highest degree of reliability when operational. A large number of innovations and patents is the result. Our innovation is not just limited to product

development. Also our marketing is pushing the boundaries. We develop and produce customer-specific or project-related products too. In addition, many of our standard products can be supplied in a special size or with a special surface treatment. Quality Our organisation is ISO 9001:2000 certificated. This way we continuously improve operational processes, and thus the quality of the entire organisation. Production The Walraven Group has production facilities in various countries, with modern machines which are often designed in-house. Each production company has its own speciality so that products can be manufactured in the most efficient manner. Almost all of our tooling and moulds are produced in our own tool making facility. Walraven then manages the entire process from product development to manufacture - and can quickly respond to developments in the market.

Omefa B.V. Omefa in Nieuwkoop (NL) is al sinds 1975 onze partner bij het ontwikkelen en produceren van producten van kunststof. Volgens het principe van ‘co-makership’ zijn door de jaren heen vele spuitgietproducten op succesvolle wijze ontwikkeld.

SWO Tooling s.r.o. Deze in 2007 opgerichte joint venture is opgezet door Suchanek (een productiebedrijf van Walraven in Tsjechië), het spuitgietbedrijf Omefa uit Nieuwkoop (NL) en Walraven. SWO maakt stempels en spuitgietmatrijzen zowel voor eigen gebruik als voor derden.

Groupe ARaymond Dit Franse bedrijf (ca. 3.200 medewerkers in 20 landen) is een belangrijke toeleverancier van de internationale automobielindustrie. De samenwerking heeft in 2006 vorm gekregen in de joint venture Raywal Holding SAS en betreft vooral productontwikkeling, alsmede verkoop en marketing in Frankrijk, Spanje en de Verenigde Staten van Amerika.

Henkel KGaA Het Duitse familieconcern Henkel (ca. 53.000 medewerkers) is wereldwijd actief in wasmiddelen, cosmetica, kleefstoffen en afdichtingsproducten. Sinds 2006 werken Henkel en Walraven intensief samen bij de ontwikkeling, verkoop en marketing van Tangit® en BIS Brandbeschermingssystemen.

Loko B.V. Het elektrolytisch verzinkbedrijf Loko in Gramsbergen (NL) beschikt over computergestuurde hang- en trommelverzinkstraten. De zinklijnen van Loko behoren tot de meest milieuvriendelijke van Europa. Loko is ISO 9001: 2000 gecertificeerd en maakt sinds 1991 deel uit van de Walraven Group.

McAlpine & Co. Ltd. Opgericht in 1902 en in1957 de eerste fabrikant van kunststofsifons in het Verenigd Koninkrijk. Vandaag de dag is dit Schotse familiebedrijf wereldwijd één van de grootste op het gebied van sifons en toebehoren. De samenwerking dateert van 1969 en betreft de verkoop en marketing van sifons, alsmede het ontwikkelen van condenswatersifons voor CV-ketels.

Omefa B.V. Omefa in Nieuwkoop (NL) has been our partner since 1975 for the development and production of plastic products. Over the years many injection moulded products have been developed using the ‘co-production’ principle.

SWO Tooling s.r.o. This joint venture was established in 2007 by Suchanek (one of Walraven’s production companies in the Czech Republic), injection moulding company Omefa (Nieuwkoop, NL) and Walraven. SWO manufactures tooling and injection moulds for both our own and third party use.

Groupe ARaymond This French company (approx. 3.200 employees in 20 countries) is an important supplier to the international automobile industry. This partnership took shape in 2006, in the form of the Raywal Holding SAS joint venture, and primarily relates to product development, sales and marketing in France, Spain and the United States of America.

Henkel KGaA The German family owned company Henkel (approx. 53.000 employees) is active worldwide in the field of detergents, cosmetics, adhesives and sealing products. Since 2006 Henkel and Walraven have been working together intensively in the development, sales and marketing of Tangit® and BIS Fire protection systems.

Loko B.V. The zinc plating company Loko, in Gramsbergen (NL), has state of the art zinc plating facilities. Loko’s galvanisation lines are amongst the most environmentally friendly in Europe. Loko is ISO 9001: 2000-certified and has been part of the Walraven Group since 1991.

McAlpine & Co. Ltd. Established in 1902, this company became the first producer of plastic siphons (during 1958) in the United Kingdom. Today this Scottish family business is one of the major worldwide players in the field of siphons and accessories. The partnership dates back to 1969 and relates to the sales and marketing of siphons as well as the development of condensate siphons for central heating boilers.

Onze markt De Walraven Group heeft in de afgelopen 10 jaar een stormachtige groei doorgemaakt. Nieuwe producten, nieuwe markten en nieuwe vestigingen volgden elkaar in hoog tempo op. Met de nieuwe vestiging in de Verenigde Staten en de zich steeds verder uitbreidende exportactiviteiten, timmert Walraven ook buiten Europa stevig aan de weg. Voor het distribueren van haar producten, maakt Walraven gebruik van een fijnmazig netwerk van groothandelaren. Hierdoor zijn onze producten altijd dichtbij en op het juiste moment beschikbaar. In het groothandelskanaal heeft Walraven een ijzersterke marktpositie, met name in Europa! Our market In the past 10 years, the Walraven Group has been growing rapidly. New products, new markets and new divisions quickly followed one another. With the new sales company in the United States and the ever expanding export activities, Walraven is also well on its way outside Europe. To distribute its products, Walraven uses a finely integrated network of wholesalers. Our products are therefore always available close at hand and at the right time. Through the wholesale channel, Walraven has a very solid market position, particularly in Europe! Walraven products are used by thousands of installation companies in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Australia and North America. Our products are used in many homes and utility construction projects, as well as offshore, ship-building, industrial and infrastructural building projects.
