ADVANCED SPACEBORNE THERMAL EMISSION AND REFLECTION RADIOMETER (ASTER) ASTER (Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer) adalah instrumen/sensor yang dipasang pada satelit Terra, yang diluncurkan pada Desember 1999, dimana ini merupakan bagian dari NASA's Earth Observing System (EOS) bekerja sama dengan Jepang. ASTER digunakan untuk pemetaan land surface temperature, emissivity, reflectance dan elevation. Platforms EOS adalah bagian dari NASA's Earth Science Enterprise, dimana lembaga ini merupakan lembaga yang baik untuk penelitian biosphere, hydrosphere, lithosphere and atmosphere.
